I think Dame & CJ along with Neil feel they are in a good situation and eventually they will get tweaked enough to contend.
If I'm Dame Id be the one putting pressure on Neil but I actually think he takes it off him.

Its kind of like Dame CJ and Neil have family relationship with one another.

One non finalized move into the offseason and the sky has fallen. LOL. This place
Lol because we know we could have 1 billion cap space and Neil stil wouldn't be a able to sign a good nba player, let alone a Starting wing, and he refuses to trade any of "his young draftees" because they are sooo great.

Remember when we said that about OKC's trades LAST offseason? Let's get ready to say it next year as well!
Does moving Schroeder for 28 and Green make OKC and the Lakers BOTH better?

The trouble with this statement is that if ALL trade values were deflated then it would end up having no effect, because you'd be trading two devalued players for each other and they'd still be worth the same.

I guess I interpreted your "a team above us" to refer to OKC specifically rather than to "whoever loses the trade".

But to answer your question: with our luck, yes.

The Lakers used a simple formula to compete for a championship - obtain 2 top 5 players in the league. GS, showtime
Lakers, Jordan Bulls, ... have also used this formula.

Part of me thinks that the Blazers need to follow this "Morey" philosophy. In our case, this might look like
obtaining 3 top 30 players. One web site considers CJ to be a top 30 player, and listed Dame as 10th best.
Obviously, both are back court players. If we are to incorporate this plan, we need a front court player
who is top 30 (top 20 would obviously be better).

Can Nurkic become that player?
If not, who can be that player? Blake Griffin?
Likely not anyone in the the draft at #16 will work - should we trade the pick?

All of this is going to be moot when Anthony Davis goes down with a season-ending injury and LeBron realizes he's the oldest player in the league.

OKC currently have more first round picks than there are in the first round.

He's not coming to Portland. I predict Clippers or possibly Sixers.

I doubt he is coming here as well.....just wouldn't mind if he did. Given out backup PG filth as of late, can think of worse options.

So if we are going to sign Gary Trent Jr. to that Superman contract, we better hurry up son.

All this teams trying to build super teams I’m just so jealous.... ugh. Why can’t we do it here in Portland? Now rumors Harden joining KD and Kyrie
