Doc trades for his son in law. But Richardson is a better player. Don't like Dallas getting better. And Dallas gets a pick?

dafuq.... what am i missing here?

I love Seth. I’ve mentioned that many times over the year. Nice D too. But I don’t get why Sixers would want him for Josh Richardson who I think is better. Dallas with a great move to flip curry

Klay Thompsons contract:

https://hoopshype.com/player/klay-thompson/salary/

2019/20 $32,742,000
2020/21 $35,361,360
2021/22 $37,980,720
2022/23 $40,600,080
2023/24 $43,219,440
2024/25 $0

It's going to be almost 3 years before he plays competitive basketball again.

By the time he comes back at almost age 32, it's a good bet that he's never going to be the same player again. Good thing is that his shooting is something that is probably going to be unaffected by this, but he's a guy that relies on a ton of off ball cutting and movement, which is probably going to suffer, as well as his ability to move on defense. That contract is an anchor now.

Tough news for Klay. Hope he can recover.

I really wanted to go through a healthy GS team to get to the top this season and that's not going to happen. With that said, the path to the Finals got a bit clearer for Portland and it's evident Neil must go all-in, right now. MLE, BAE, TPE ... USE THEM ALL.

Why would it take three years for him to heal from an Achilles?
I'm including the time he's been out since his ACL injury.

Takes at least a year to get back from achilles, and I'd imagine they'd want to be safe with him. So projecting to be around Jan-Feb of 2022.

Gotcha. Makes sense.

Simmons already has great D. 6ers biggest problem is Embiid & Simmons don't stretch the court, so its imperative everyone else on the roster does. Seth might be best person at stretching the court in the NBA. Seth is locked up at a lower rate for more years. It could end up being a trade both teams win.

Looks like Golden State is using their TPE.

Is Oubre even good? His numbers just make him look like a volume guy, and he's not really much of a defensive player.

Holy shit, Oubre is going to cost GSW 68 million in total payments including luxury tax assuming no other moves are made. If the team doesn't look good by the trade deadline, I could see them having to pay a bunch of draft picks to dump one of Wiggins/Oubre.
