I like the idea of Harkless the more I think about it. The last time he was in Portland he was a better player than the Otto Porter of the last two seasons. He also knows the system, so you can plug and play him.

I feel like Olshey has to continuously save Terry from himself by trading his crutches. Tolliver and Hezonja before. Hood this season.

I wonder how upset he is that he no longer gets to play Hood.

He has to rewrite all of note cards...oh no

Hallelujah. Let his broke ass drag down the chemistry of another team.

So scratch any center off the list. And I don’t think we’re gonna be getting a guard either. Doesn’t make sense with the addition of Powell. It’s gonna be a wing.

Could you post all 15 names?
Hollingers list: I dont think even half of these dudes will actually get bought out, tbh

1. Porter Jr.
2. Olynyk
3. Dieng
4. Aldridge
5. Drummond
6. Dinwiddie -- longshot to get bought out
7. Ellington
8. Muscala
9. Rivers
1o. Joseph
11. Birch
12. Bradley
13. Ennis
14. Sterling Brown
15. Jeff Teague
16. Whiteside
17. McLemore
18. Harkless

Seems like only Porter and Harkless make realistic sense. I love Dieng but Stotts isnt gonna play him over Kanter, and some of those guards wouldn’t really fit either unless we just decided to play super small lineups.

Footage of Neil Olshey right now

I like Olynyk and Bradley. Was all on the Porter bandwagon, but a deeper dive into his numbers this year reveals just how trash he's been

We have two roster spots available. About 2.7 mil under the tax line.

So plenty of room and money to be able to land two guys of significance.

I think the rotation now looks like this:

Dame (35)/ CJ(13)
CJ (22)/ Powell (25)
Jones (25)/ Nas (20)/ Powell (3)
Roco (30)/ Melo (18)
Nurk (28)/ Kanter (20)

Spot minutes: Simons/Giles

Melo and Kanter need to be staggered in some way so I can even see Melo starting a bit. But I see a glaring hole for a PG. Assuming Collins isn't gonna do much of anything even IF he returns, I feel like we could really use some more depth at the wing. Porter seems like an obvious choice there. He might push Nas out of the rotation but also allow us to go to the Roco at C lineups that have been successful.

Unfortunately, I don't see any PGs available in the buyout market. Tentatively on the list now:

- Drummond
- Aldridge
- Porter Jr.
Isn't George Hill out there?

Dame is a bad recruiter. Do you disagree? Whether you want to call it shit, or poor, or mediocre, or sub-par, those are just different adjectives that all say the same thing. Simply because I choose to use profanity doesn't change the content of the message. It doesn't imply that I'm angry or raging. It's a statement. He's a bad recruiter. This has been proven time and time again.
The Blazers were on Harden's list. Dame can't force the trade to happen though.Melo definitely came to play with Dame. We might get buy out candidates who want to play with Dame. Enes wanted to play with Dame.

None of these guys would get minutes, the best way our team can improve is if Ant and Nas step up.

Here are two players that made All-G-League teams but are not attached (either 2-way player or assignee) to any NBA team:
Oshae Brissett - second team all-G-League
Tahjere McCall - all-defense
Actually there are some other players that appear like decent prospects. I'd prefer to target a PF or C.

Alize Johnson (PF) - Currently on a 10-day contract with the Nets. Appears to makes quick decisions and is a willing passer.

Tyler Cook (PF) - Currently on a 10-day contract with Detroit. Is quick and has good reaction to the ball.

Freddie Gillespie (PF) - From Baylor and has some nice defense.

Louis King (SF) - Played at Oregon, but is young with a lot of potential still

Dude. Injuries happen. Every year, people think we're too deep and every year, we barely have any healthy bodies at some point in the season. YOU CANNOT HAVE TOO MUCH TALENT.
yeah, injuries happen. And thats why getting Mo is dumb, since he's not going to play.

Can someone tell me the timeline on Collins? Will he be back this season? Will he ever suit up for Portland again?

there was an article by Quick that cited a possibility of him returning before the playoffs. it's a 4-6 month recovery and he had surgery in late december.

Yes I do. You have literally no more insight than anyone else on who Dame has or hasn't recruited.

I'm not basing my post on just your one statement. It's the trend you've been on with your posts for quite some time. Like I said, you used to be one of what I consider the better posters around here. Nowadays you're kind of a rich man's Mixum.

yeah, Dame's a bad recruiter. In fact, Dame is such a bad recruiter Portland could not attract any good free agent for years before Dame arrived. Reverse butterfly effect
