No, its a bad moment for the entire Pac 10. As I said in many previous posts, I was rooting for the Ducks to win.

I'm a Beaver fan, but damn that was PATHETIC last night! I wanted the Ducks to win, but they appear to have serious issues with their lines. If their O line and D line don't improve it's going to be a long season for them. I'm starting to feel pretty good about our chances in the Civil War this year though.

Ridiculous. In the first UO/BSU thread, you were the first one to sling mud. Then we got the "little brother" crud. If you're going to go in all high and mighty and put OSU down in the process, expect to get some back when your team looked crappy and your star RB throws a punch at a guy looking the other way. It ain't rocket science. You get what you give.

Honestly, for the Jayremmies of the Duck world, I've got lots of sympathy. A loss like that just sucks.

No kiddin' -- Soda Pop talks smack all the time, even when his team puts on a pathetic and embarrassing performance in an opener on national TV. I know Soda Pop will be the first in line to pile on when the Beavers lose a game. No first downs in the first half. Sloppy football in the 2nd half. And to top it all off, your starting running back, and I have even heard possible Heisman candidate , sucker punches a Bronco after the game, tries to fight fans in the stands, socks his own teammates, and all but wrestles with police officers. The silver lining is the defense looked pretty good Hopefully for duck fans thebutterflies are gone and things will look up from here I know one thing though, your "little brother" could at least get a 1st down and wouldn't try to fight everyone after the game. So continue to talk smack Soda Pop. Just make sure you can take at least 10% of what you dish out.

I actually think the Defense did pretty well considering they were on the field over 40 minutes.. The biggest thing to me was Allowalotti going into a prevent defense on 3rd down, and making it a basic automatic 1st down. But yes.. O-line was a question mark, and now it is officially a concern.

I think Allioti has got to be one of the worst D-Coordinators in the Pac-10. I didn't see the Ducks D-line getting into the backfield much either. With the Beavs you can count on them bringing heat. They might get burned sometimes, but at least they bring it.

I didn't see the game but reading the recaps and seeing some of the video it looked like Boise St was fairly inept on their own leaving a huge chance for the Ducks to capitalize.

If I were you I'd just brush off the loss. Early season, new coach, things are still getting tuned. You probably just saw your national championship hopes get squashed like a little insect never to breathe an atom of life again, but still just one game.

Oh yeah thats what I am doing, I didnt expect national title or anything this year, BCS still isnt out of the question, I do think if that line can be patched up, the Ducks will be fine. But yes you are correct on the ineptitude part.

A) At the least, Blount should be benched for the remainder of the season - not because he punched some fool who was taunting him, but because he is a lazy, over-rated waste of a uniform.

Even as a Beaver fan I'd cut Kelly some slack. Hell, he's got to deal with little Mikey still running around on the sidelines. I'm sure it was bad enough for Mike having the Ducks' owner calling him all the time with suggestions, now Chip has to deal with Mike and the owner at the same time.

I'd say Hout earned the right to talk a bit of trash, though. You just went out and completely shut down one of the top offenses in college football. Maybe he went a little far in his trash talking. Regardless, throwing a punch is completely out of line for the situation.

However, #1 on their team(can't remember his name) shoudl have been flagged at least 4 separate times in that game for basically throwing punches to Oregon players' face masks. Ridiculous how much they allowed him to just hit people in the face talking shit during the game, adn did nothing to try to keep emotions in check.

This is all UO and BSU have scheduled currently. I'd be surprised if the Ducks schedule them again, but you never know. I hope the Beavs can go in there next year and beat the hell out of them!

No doubt. Hout should have just held his head high as he walked off the field victorious and not kicked a man when he was down. He got what was coming to him.

That punch is not what concerns me. What concerns me is the absolute meltdown that occured afterwards. That was just humiliating and embarassed the hell out of me that he was representing Oregon.
