And your is based on lack of reasoning. Because he was last at okc. So more recent game play is known.

Utah doesnt also have two allstars that can take advantage of the playbook. Gobert isnt an offensive threat to be a concern for Kanter.

If you dont think okc knows how to drive to the paint and put pressure on him more than other teams then its your take that seems foolish.

Even with a playbook you have to have the tools to put it into play. Okc has them. Utah does not.

OKC must have forgot to bring that book they have on Kanter.

This scares the hell out of me.
Mthis is the reason im pissed about us not avoiding okc when we could have. I think?
We didnt even try though.

Does stotts not know where Kanter came from?
Does stotts not k ow that okc has the play book on kanter????

Does he not understand that quick foul trouble on Kanter and we are dead in the water????????

Im not scared of okc.
Im scared of what Kanter cant do and they know all of it.

Thanks hail. renewed my frustrations.

Adams who?

Damn @Orion Bailey, OKC sure gameplanned Kanter well! Imagine if they didn't know everything about him?

This is why you never play the karma game and try to match up with certain teams instead of just getting the best possible seed. Only scared sissies do that shit.

They worked him in the pnr several times though. Enes' offensive rebounding was phenomenal, no doubt, but okc validated OB's concerns about knowing how to attack Kanter.

Couldn't disagree more. Every team uses PnR to attack Kanter. That has nothing to do with OKC knowing him.

In fact I thought OKC let us off the hook by not really attacking Kanter much. Granted the times they did were effective but the fact they used it so infrequently is actually the opposite of proving OB's concerns.

Come on bones. Serious?

First im on my phone. Blah blah blah.

Second, playing with a person on the same team for several years will vastly expand the scouting report compared to a few games a year.
Yes everyone knows he is weak on defence. Go at him. Do they all know how and when exactly???

Are you arguing to argue?

What you are saying is my cousin i see a few times a year knows me as well as my ex wife.
Simply not true.
Not fully serious, just giving you shit for your spelling/grammar. Not a big deal.

Do you still stand on this stance after game 1...?

As a defender in PnR, Kanter gave up .81PPP. OKC averages .91PPP.

This has nothing to do with karma. It's misjudging the fact that OKC is a better matchup for us than most people assumed. They have two guys who can score and they don't shoot well. They also don't have the kind of rim protection that UTA does. We're underdogs in pretty much every WC matchup with Nurk out, but the one against OKC isn't as bad as our 0-4 regular season record indicated.

All good.

I do. As Platy pointed out. Their game plan was as I thought. To go right at him. However I was wrong in Kanter not being able to handle it. He handled it just fine.

Adams did anything he wanted 10 feet and in. Enes did not play good D but the rebound count was astronomical. Solid performance.

Yep. And I would like to add, if they know our biggest deficiency and couldn't take advantage of it when trying, OKC is in trouble.

GM2 FT

Kanter 20 MINS, 6 PTS, 5 REBS, 2 TO, +12
Adams 30 MINS, 16 PTS, 9 REBS, 2 TO, -22

Adams takes game two, but it doesn't matter!

GM 3 FT

Kanter 19 PTS, 5 REB, 5 FLS
Adams 10 PTS, 7 REB, 2 AST

Kanter takes game three, but it doesn't matter...

Ironically or maybe not taking out Adams in place of Grant is what helped OKC win at the end.

This Thunder fan does a fantastic post on this subject, and includes a really good video.

Even if you are not into this topic, I encourage you to watch the video to just hear the utter despair in the guy's voice. It's pretty funny.

TBH, I think the real revelation has been Zach Collins. He just looks so much better out there on the defensive end than Kanter. I'm hoping the big adjustments we make in the next game are to (obviously) eliminate Evan Turner's minutes and give Zach some more run at the 5.

The guy really ought to take a closer look at the video before offering his opinion that Kanter should have been called for defensive three seconds. The clock is at 6:53 when the ball crosses half court and George makes a drive and is within arm's length of Kanter at 6:51.
