Why the hell isn't Lillard doing this more often? Instead of playing passer??

Lol getting blown out at home by a winless road Kings teams. This team makes my blood pressure rise.

Damian still trying to play passer...sigh, I just don't get it. He can get his whenever he wants, but he's still content passing to a bunch of incompetents.

Seriously, once that ball leaves his hands I already know the possession is screwed.

if any of our starters are out for any length of time we are truly fukked, we aren't very good in any case but that just magnifies everything

We are pretty much crippled if any of our starting 5 is down.

We need more than 12 points fom Lillard in 37 minutes of play. Ah well. Aldridge foul trouble, Batum, Wes, it all fell apart this game. Up next: Raptors. Any thoughts as to how we match up?

He's shooting 5 of 13.

tough call, depends who can play and which team shows up

Mostly jumpshots. He can drive whenever he wants....he just never wants to. Or when he gets in the lane he's looking for shooters rather than looking to shoot.

Lost to 0-12 Wizards, winless road Kings. If your team is struggling you better circle the Blazers on your calendar.

he missed on a couple drives. He doesn't finish like Roy yet

I'd rather let 2, 3, or 4 of these scrubs go and pick up some NBDL players and givem a chance, WTF would we have to lose?

When I was in Boston, I over heard a fan say "Portland might be the worst team in the NBA right now."

The point isn't that he has to make everything. The point is when he's aggressive the entire team is better because the opponents can't crowd the shooters. When Lillard starts penetrating it starts opening things up because guys become more focused on him. THEN, he can start looking for guys to pass to. Too often all he's doing is looking for shooters. The opposing team sees this and they know they can just body up shooters and make it hard for him to pass.

Ah..

Well what can you do. We need 3 of 4 of our core guys to have good games to win. When two are battling injuries we just lose. We have 4 good players and the rest are rookies or scrubs.
I forgot to add one good garabage man also in hickson.

I like to see Lillard trying to distribute the ball but on nights these he needs to have an aggressive, score-first mentality, especially when he's on the floor with 4 D-leaguers. Oh well, part of the rookie thing I guess.

Glad Stotts decided to put our hurt players back on court to aggravate their injuries for a loss.

Exactly. Why pass on your offense to get Sasha Pavlovic a shot? Makes no sense.

If all Lillard did was shoot, you guys would give him flack for that too. He's trying to be a PG, let him be one.

Not with the guys that were on the floor tonight.

Lillard needs to learn how to pick his spots more effectively. Tonight was definitely a night we needed him to score. When he looks for his shots he puts more pressure on the defense and then opens up better passing lanes. Tonight he was entirely too passive and I think he knows that. There's a fine line between being unselfish and being so unselfish that you're hurting your team. Him creating his own shots is hell of a lot more effective than giving the ball to Freeland, Pavlovic, Babbit etc.

This is my least favorite game of the year. I may not watch to the end.

I cut it off, I was so disgusted with Aldridge. When Batum can't play, Aldridge is supposed to step it up. Instead he gives up right from the start. Our supposed best player depends upon everyone else to set himself up. He makes the players around him worse.

Everything sucked tonight. I didn't think we'd get blown out by the Kings at home. It's hard to believe this team will only have enough room to sign one max player next year, with a bunch of expiring contracts. Sometimes this team looks like fuckng scrubs for a starting lineup and D-league bench for reserves....

You're so angry bro..... What did you honestly expect this season!!!

Aldridge played great in the first half. Got in the post, made things happen, made free throws, rebounded the ball, blocked shots. But in the second half, he got into foul trouble and he wasn able to get into a groove.

Darn, that is so atypical of his usual 4th quarter clutch heroics.
