Like saying you would love to have Jefferson? Then when confronted that Jefferson plays terrible defense; you reply "doesn't matter cause we will score more points than the other team?"

Well it is not like the guy is Hickson. He plays some defensive areas pretty well. And it is true. You can outscore another team and win.

I would take Jefferson depending on the price.

Ah, look at MAGS gettin' frisky and tying to question The HCP........ I basically meant that if we could have him as our starting center, I'd do it in a second. There aren't that many good defensive big men in the league and even fewer that have Jeff's post game.

I think this is Olshey's thinking, to be honest. If we play just good enough to get out of the top 12 lotto spots, we give up our draft pick, but gain a bunch of flexibility. Remember, as long as we *might* have to give up our pick this year (or any future year) we can't trade the next year's draft pick. Just getting that over with now will give Neil more trade-making flexibility, by being able to offer a pick in a stronger draft like 2014 or 2015 along with a piece to attract a good returning piece.

I'm having a hard time remembering a team that got a lot better by trading their first round picks every other year?

Lakers will lose tomorrow probably. Not because of Kobe but because the Pacers are good. And then we'll only have one more loss than them.

True; the Clips traded theirs after they drafted them... but that's not quite the same is it.

Okay, so it's not over yet but it's getting there. By my calculations, we have to win 3 games on this road trip. There are four left. All 4 would be huge. 3 puts us at 34-36 with 8 of final 12 at home. That is where we need the big win streak. Tough loss but if we win the next three, I'm good.

We are only 2.5 games out of the playoffs:

8. Lakers 36-34
9. Utah 34-35
10. Portland/Dallas 33-36

The playoffs are there for the taking.

But if we keep on winning; we are actually 2 games out. We beat the lakers and we are 1 game for sure. Let's finish this season without a loss and we are in like Flynn!

So we're fine. Utah is going to lose most likely. Dallas passes us but they have to come to Rose Garden and with a win, we get the tiebreaker. Lakers will lose to Golden State. It's imperative that we win our next two at home. That will make us 35-37 and keep us in the mix.

The Titanic is sinking!!! However, if we just bail fast enough, and get into shallow water, and avoid anymore icebergs the rest of the way, WE CAN DO IT!

Lmao Dallas fans, trying to be like Portland fans. Booing odom everytime he touches the ball

Realistic scenario in next couple days:

Lakers lose to Wolves and Bucks back to back on road.
Mavs lose to Pacers
Jazz beat Suns and lose to us,
We beat Nets and Jazz

8. Jazz 36-37
9. Lakers 36-37
10. Portland 35-37
11. Dallas 35-37

How exciting is THAT?

Mavs lose big at home. Makes feel better about yesterday. Lakers lost too. If we beat Jazz..

Lakers 37-36
Jazz 36-37
Mavs 35-37
Blazers 34-38

Not bad

Not bad at all. I wouldn't count the Blazers out yet. The flat effort vs Brooklyn has got to motivate them. Tough, but stranger things have happened.

At the least, I want the L*kers to die a painful, embarassing playoff death.

Both Dallas and lakers lost last night. I can't believe how close this is!!!
