Nice job Dwight... you're only a few days behind the Oregonian.
Still nice to hear confirmation. I'm just glad Cliff is getting a chance. Most of the stuff that caused his drop was not really his fault. Glad to see he is getting a second chance and taking advantage of it.
Wow.... if Harkless beats out Aminu for the starting SF spot.... I don't know if that says a lot about Harkless being really good, or says that Aminu isn't as good as we hoped.
So how will these position battles shake out? They raged on during Day 2 of camp on Wednesday — and likely will continue all month — but favorites are emerging. McCollum seemingly has distanced himself in the race for starting shooting guard, in part because his chief competition, Gerald Henderson, remains sidelined after offseason hip surgery, but also because the franchise is heavily invested in him and he seems poised for a breakout season.
The Blazers signed Aminu to a four-year, $30 million free agent contract in the offseason to replace Batum, and he is certainly the favorite to start. But Harkless is giving him a run for his money.
I think he'll make the team because I don't see the point of keeping Frazier AND Pressey.
I cannot play streaming videos from the Blazers homepage yet I can stream from any non nba.com related site. I can watch attachments here that Rasta posts, etc..but have so much trouble ..the commercials play fine then the stream doesn't load? Any ideas? It's not a new problem and one reason I avoid paying for league pass
I'm all for Harkless making a bunch of 3's. Don't start him instead of Aminu, start him at SG WITH Aminu at SF. What a lot of length, wingspan and defensive versatility that would be. Scrap the 6'3"/6'3" back-court.
Just like Meyers is a 4 in a 5 body and will likely never be exactly what tradition says say a guy his size should be, maybe Harkless is a 2 in a 3 body and why he has struggled. I'd love to see what he'd do at SG if they'd give him the opportunity. If he sucks, we know he can still play the 3.I'm not a big fan of Lillard and CJ playing that much together. Didn't seem to work out much last season and they have similar weaknesses ..like seeing a taller 2 guard next to both of them
If they were so high on him, why didn't he play at all last season?

I'm going to predict right now Cliff Alexander will have a better, longer NBA career than Thomas Robinson. He may not be better as rookie than Robinson is in his 4th year, but I predict by the end of his second NBA season, Alexander will be better than year 5 T-Rob.
BNM
Agreed. And T-Rob had two more years of college ball to prep for the NBA.
Anyone else think that Charlotte is really going to regret dealing Vonleh?
I thought that immediately after the deal, but I feel like that even more now.
WTF were they thinking?
I have no idea what T-Rob's problem is. Maybe getting drafted too high and then being passed around from team to team has messed him up.
