I dunno why they're acting so solemn. This is a happy freaking day. And WTF is wrong with saying they wanted him out on Day 1? So did I. He has caused irreparable damage over the past three years-- this was long overdue.

I have full confidence that the hacks in the senate will acquit him next month, but this is still a good day for me. Celebrate!

Also? Tulsi Gabbard voting "present" on both articles is an embarrassment. Biggest vote of your life and you don't have a freaking opinion? Can't wait for this to come back to bite her in the ass

Her action/inaction is a head scratcher for sure.

HOORAY! A word happened!

Trump is still the President.
They keep pretending that they know he isn't going to be convicted in the Senate and that they don't care. If they were honest they would admit they secretly hope that those evil Republicans snap out of it and vote to convict.

I like Nancy holding this resolution until the senate figures out its shit. A secret ballot would remove this orange monster in an instant.

Duh. However...

Trump's legacy will begin with "one of three presidents ever impeached" -- two of those three have the distinct pleasure of being impeached for abuse of power.

It's a GREAT day for democracy :bgrin:

Secret ballot lol. Such horseshit. What fuckin world do you live in bud? You want your government holding secret votes? All these precedents you want to set will fuck everybody in the future. Enjoy your little meaningless victory.

I hate to tell.....well, I don't hate to tell you because I think it is hilarious...anyway. I think they have done nothing but increase his chances of a second term. Disagree if you want but there are a ton of signs out there if you don't watch MSNBC or CNN all day.

So his legacy will likely be the first President to be impeached and then win a second term.

Needless to say, that's really gonna bind the GOP's cheese.

Sure you are.
I have 0 roots in this country as a second generation naturalized citizen. Have already sold the property I owned. He has repeatedly made prejudiced comments against immigrants like me. His supporters mostly have no scruples and he has normalized this discrimination by making xenophobia permissive. A second term for this monster tells me I'm no longer welcome here.

Why the hell would I not try to get out?

Sounds rough.

That's one of the many things about Trump and "most" of his followers. He and they complain about immigrants but the fact is that this country founded and built by immigrants.

Most us are, for lack of a better term, mutts.

My fam came to the States in the 90s cuz it was a land of opportunity. True American Dream and what not.

If we're no longer welcome, then why not leave?
