That's right, time to post your perfect offseason.

Who would you sign?

Who would you trade for?

If you could trade into the draft, who would you draft?

Post your plans here.

1) Re-sign LMA
2) Get Paul Pierce
3) Get Spencer Hawes

I know we don't have much cap to work with, but I'm confident Mr. Olshey will get creative

I'm really curious what the market will be for Pierce. He definitely intrigues me. He was the only guy on Brooklyn that actually did anything in the post season. They wouldn't have made it to the second round without him.

I think he's got at least two more decent years. I'd offer 2x5Mill, which leaves us with around 2M of cap. Somehow pull a s&t for Hawes

Even with the cap going up to 63 million, am unsure where people keep on getting/thinking that we're going to have 7 million in space if Mo opts out. If he opts out, our salary would sit at a tad over 61 million. We have no cap space. We have the MLE and BAE to use.

Someone posted that 7 million figure somewhere and people ran with it. I honestly can't remember where it came from.

Yeah I've seen it a few times and a few places. But not sure who initially came up with it. We'd need to dump Wright and Claver to come close to it. Just not happening. Though really, MLE at 5, and BAE at 2, we kind of do have 7 million. It's just not able to be used on one guy.

Let Mo and Watson walk

MLE Greivis Vasquez

Trade or Sign and Trade for Spencer Hawes or Channing Frye with any package of Wright/Leonard/Crabbe/Freeland and a protected 1st.

Trade LMA for LBJ.
Get a new coach.

Agreed, but the two exceptions still come to about $7 mil to spend on FAs. It will be interesting to see if Olshey can talk Mo into signing a new contract at 120% of last year's salary so he doesn't have to use the exception money to find a replacement PG. The $7 mil should be enough to get a couple of solid vets for the bench, but anything splashier than that would seem only to be possible via a trade. Should be an interesting summer.

No, we can't. But also, I'm pretty sure Lopez's deal became guaranteed when we traded for him, somehow. Thought I remember reading that somewhere right after we landed him.

Yeah, I think you're right. Storyteller's site shows him as guaranteed for next year.

Hire an assistant to make decisions for me while I buff paul allens balls for a pay raise

The cap is projected to be $63.2 million. Without Mo on the cap, I've got our number at $58 million. That leaves us about $5 million to work with, plus the mini-MLE.

We have a bunch of young talent that could be used as filler in a trade.

Obviously we need to upgrade our bench. That goes without saying. I think we need one consistent scorer off the bench. One guy who is going to get you that 12-15 points a night off the bench. Mo could do it maybe one in four games. That's simply not good enough. We need an actual backup point guard to play with Dame. We need a backup center.

PG - I would throw our mini-MLE at a point guard. Possibly Mario Chalmers or Shaun Livingston. I think Livingston is intriguing because he's so tall, he could easily play with Dame.

Wing - Paul Pierce would be an amazing get. I'm not sure what he would want, but I would give him the $5 million. He was huge for Brooklyn this year.

Center - I would swing for the fences. I would go after Roy Hibbert. I think he could be a productive center again in the right situation. Indy is a fucking mess and I don't think it's all on Hibbert. I think Indy will be swept by Miami and then they will want to dump his big contract. I would trade Wes, Dorell, and Freeland for Hibbert.

PG - Dame/Livingston
SG - Barton/CJ/Crabbe
SF - Nic/Pierce
PF - LA/TRob/Claver
C - Hibbert/Rolo/Leonard

That would be my big summer. We solidify our center position, we get a solid bench player in Pierce, and a backup point guard who can play with Dame in Shaun Livingston.

We lose Wes, Dorell, Mo, and Freeland.

Barton as our starter? No, Nate. No. Besides, that trade is horrible for Indy. I don't want Hibbert, either.

Our Starting 5 stays the same. We get a bench that can spell people and Stotts will play (And that's a big IF, since he seems allergic to playing a bench it seems).

Starting Barton? Are you high?

Any trade for Hibbert is going to be horrible for Indy. The guy is making 13 million next season. He needs out of that city. They have some serious fucking chemistry issues. If they're going to trade him, it's going to be a shitty trade for them.

I don't think Barton would be the starter necessarily, but without another move, the guards on the team are Barton, CJ, and Crabbe.

Would love to get Pierce. He'd be like our Scottie Pippen.

Draft: Buy a first or second round pick if you can.

Free Agency: Tough to say. Not a lot of guys on this list that I think would be realistic given our cap situation.

Trades: Unless you know who is being shopped or who teams are willing to part with, it's impossible to name names, but the profile in my head is a more dynamic 2 guard than Wesley; a guy who can actually dribble a little bit, more athletic and better on defense. If you can keep Wes around to come off the bench that's awesome, but I'm guessing he'd be one of those few assets that another team might actually covet.

If Mo opts out go for nate Robinson.

Also, would love to go after ariza if pierce says no

When Peirce was playing for Boston I remember him making a comment about only wanting to play on the east coast.

Speaking of ariza, could you imagine our wing rotations with him? Good lord. Length and d everywhere. Having batumand ariza in at the same time could give teams fits

If you bring in Ariza, you're going to be moving Wes. I don't see Ariza coming off the bench.
