Post any draft, rookie scouting, free agent signing, or any other part of your offseason strategies here. As for mine, they go something like this:Rookie Scouting-When scouting, try and steer clear of players with bad interviews, as they're likely to become a virtual burden on your franchise. The better the interview, the more potential they ultimately have.-Decide if you're going to draft a player that's the best available or if you're going for a certain position. Keep in mind that moving a strong safety to play free safety is nothing, but I don't condone moving a quarterback to play on the offensive line...-If there's ever a time where you see a player that's available that is truly too good to pass up, you might as well take him. You might end up kicking yourself in the A** for not pick him up a few years down the line.Free Agency-Look for bargains. Try to look further down the list than just the mid-70's, because there are awesome role players that can be found down in the depths of Madden's ratings. Players such as Maurice Clarett, perhaps... You might not like him, but he's freaking beast on the game, despite his low rating.-Long-term deals are nice and all, but they can hurt you in the long run. A player's contract grows year-by-year, so keep that in mind when signing someone.-Sign as many players as you can to deals without signing bonuses. If you do that, you have the option to release them at any time without having to pay for their bonuses in the next offseason. That's it for me... Post yours and help your fellow Madden-lovers.
