You can see Stotts's clipboard on the last timeout. First option was a lob to Matthews, LMA in the post was the second. Damian was never an option, just a decoy.

For the life of me, I don't understand why they keep running that inbounds play where Batum lobs it to Matthews. That's worked maybe about once this whole season. It would make a whole lot more sense if you have someone like Mo inbounding and Batum going for the lob.

The play was clearly to ALdridge, Lillard gave a half ass attempt to get open, he knew he wasn't getting the ball.

For the life of me, I don't understand why they keep running that inbounds play where Batum lobs it to Matthews. That's worked maybe about once this whole season. It would make a whole lot more sense if you have someone like Mo inbounding and Batum going for the lob.

Stotts has coached 113 games now and the defense is pathetic as ever. 68 freaking points in the paint for the Pelicans.

You can get by being that bad in the paint in the regular season because majority of teams in the NBA this year are a joke. One of the worst NBA seasons in recent memory. The level of play is a joke.

But as soon as the playoffs start, being that horrendous defending the paint is going to catch up to the Blazers. It's the kind of thing that gets you knocked out in the 1st round, especially if the 3's (which is all they shoot now minus Aldridge) aren't falling.
