Oj Mayo

I think we are going to end up paying Matthews around 8-10 million a season anyways, I would rather offer Lance 10 million then if he agrees swing Matthews for a future 1st round pick.
Lance is such a head case. He could end up blowing up in our face big time. Mathews is going to get around that but to get lance we would have to do a S&T so I assume we would be sending them mathews back.
I also think lance is getting 3y 40m.

Id take mayo from them if they gave us Henson back but not sure how to make the money situation work

if it's just to dump, Wright, Claver and Freeland works $$ wise.

Mayo is a buy low candidate. He's already shown he can succeed in the system stotts runs.

Not a mayo fan. Not on my burgers and not on my team.

As I said earlier, OJ Mayo is a hot potato. Whomever has him wants him least.

#nobueno.

As an objective observer, Denny, which player do you think our team should target as a wing defender?

If you're looking for the best defense possible, Deng. If you can figure out how to get him, Stephenson.

I see Milwaukee is looking to move oj mayo.. Thinking we can move couple pieces to grab him or future first... Only has two years 16 million left on contract.. Move into starting two spot or 6th man role.. Thoughts?
Starting two? As in ahead of Matthews?

Yeah, not very likely, lol...

They must be thinking about the highly successful Luol Deng in the parallel universe.

He's a lockdown defender who can guard at least 4 positions. He got traded to an awful situation, but was having huge scoring games for the Bulls when Rose went down.

19/6.9/3.7 is hard to come by.

I think his flaws are poor handles for a wing player, and not effective as a 3pt shooter.

I wasn't demeaning his game. I think he's a good player and he'll do well. However, 13 mil for him as a bench player is a little too much I think.

He's not going to be a bench player anywhere he'd go.

If he's got no choice but to take much less than the ~$13M, he may as well sign with the Heat.

S&T is the possibility you're thinking for Portland and say Adios to Batum?

You asked who the best defensive wing is, and I told you my opinion.

In the old days when LMA rebounded like a SG, pairing him with Deng (who rebounds like a PF) made sense. Not so much anymore. They both take a lot of long range 2pt shots.

I don't know if I'd S&T for him for the Blazers.

I actually asked

You mentioned Deng and Stephenson. Deng is wanting 13+ mil and Stephenson is wanting a truck load of $$$.

My bad. If money and CBA were no object, those are two really good options.

It may come down to Deng signing a Mo like deal at MLE price. 2 years with player option after the first.
