but this is pretty much the limit to my interest in this team.

Someone wake me when these guys have some dignity, or they fire the coach or something.

I can't be a fan of mediocrity. Scratch that, I won't be.

Till then all.

I'll always post here and watch the games.

However, I wont attend another game at the RG as long as Chad and Larry are still connected to the team. They will only prolong this.

The bandwagon slowly starts to fall apart.

I look forward to the draft ... and a new GM ... and a new owner.

Just do what I do.... not watch the games, post on here to bug mags and kingspeed, and make up crazy trade ideas!

How can you not watch and support your favorite team regardless of how they are playing? Honestly curious. Thru think and thin......

You guys aren't just dying to watch Williams, Babbitt, and N. Smith's progression over the rest of the year?

Is that what she said last night? :)

Yeah, but that will only encourage Chad and Larry to go about without a true plan in place and selecting second round talent in the first round.

Because working in sports killed my passion many moons ago, so if I don't feel like watching, I don't watch. :dunno:

I'm perfectly fine supporting a bad team that is young and plays hard. If it's filled with veterans who all plan on leaving after the year, and are clearly dogging it, why should I care?

How else will management realize that they need to make some drastic changes?

don't forget the all important new mascot!

for me a majority of the downturn of this season boils down to Miller > Felton. I was a big fan of Andre prior to him becoming a Blazer, and was not happy at all when he was moved for Ray. I started posting a lot less afterwords because I couldn't find a silver lining and didn't want spend my free time bitching on-line. The current Blazers don't have a lot of gifted passers who make their teammates better, so the PG has to be the facilitator who gets the ball to scorers in their spots... RF has never done that at a level that wins in the league. Mix in the worst shooting % of his career and here we are

hopefully whoever pushed that move through is out of the decision making loop. They've a lot of expirings so they should have the ability to push for new talent. It should be an interesting offseason

Mediocrity? What team are you talking about? Certainly not this Blazers team.

As BBert said, this is not mediocrity. Minnesota is mediocre. The Celtics, gasp, are mediocre. We're horrible.

Perhaps you haven't heard about Williams' shoulder.

Actually, yes, I'd love to watch the second five get more minutes. Too bad Nate isn't interested in developing his bench players.

We should start a new pool. How long will it take the Blazers to win more games than the Ducks? (22)

I feel as good about another Blazers win this season as I do about another Ducks win this season. :sigh:

Yeah, same. Hopefully, it'll be just a matter of time. If Nate is insistent on playing the veterans into the ground though, I'd agree with yuyuza1 in that I would rather do other things with my time.

True Dat Stomp. Our passing and assists have been atrocious this year. Don't know what MGMT was thinking tearing out the most important glue of the team in a year when on-court chemistry was of utmost importance.

God all of you shut the hell up (not pointing fingers)!!! Jesus christ, this board bitches and moans after ****ing EVERY LITTLE THING this team does wrong.

Granted, it's obvious the team sucks right now; the coach needs to be fired, we BADLY need a new PG...

But other than that, I like our team overall. There's a few guys that we need to get rid of. Felton...maybe Crawford...Smith and Babbitt are just a waste of space.
Most importantly though, they need to just fire Nate and get a REAL GM. I can't stress that last sentence enough.

So please, just GTFO and go cheer for the L*kers if you can't handle the team not winning every goddamn game they play, year after year after year. WHO EXPECTS THAT?

We just permanently lost (most likely) the best player this franchise has seen in years...I'm perfectly fine with a little suckage the next year...

Trade whatever it takes outside of Aldridge and Batum to get a new goddamn PG and fire the coach, it's clear he's lost at least a few players on this team. It's really that simple.
We aren't as far off as most of you bi-polar maniacs seem to think.

This is incredibly accurate and a rare non-suicidal post that actually contributes something constructive to the board.

+1

Why do you pretend to not know it was Nate McMillan? For 2 years this board talked about how Nate was incapable of changing his system to feature a PG who doesn't shoot the 3. You now want to blame someone above McMillan for accomodating the coach? Which other starting PG fit into a trade for Miller?

Umm Felton can't shoot a 3 either, or for that matter, ANYTHING. Miller is better at literally everything else except maybe D.

I think the point is they should have never traded Andre.

The point of "hopefully whoever pushed that move through is out of the decision making loop" is that Stomp is saying that the moving force behind wanting to dump Andre Miller was someone unknown in higher management, when we all know it was McMillan, who is in the decision loop as much as ever.

Just in case someone comes back with, "I still blame those above McMillan for deciding that Felton was the best PG available to replace Miller," I covered that with my ending question. A lot of people transfer blame for bad coaching to player effort, management, etc.
