Ok, the major players are now known for the 2013-2014 season.

Is this team now a threat in the West? Or does it just fill the seat in the RG with the forever loyal and hopeful?

I see many think Jaynes is still a dirtbag, that's not a good sign.

Threat to win the West or threat to make the playoffs? This team is no where near winning the WC. We are a solid threat barring injuries to make the playoffs. I know there are some "fans" that think that's not good enough. If this team isn't competing to win a championship then the off-season was a failure. What I see is progress. The roster already seems to be more balanced and more talented than last season. Hopefully that directly translates to more wins.

I think Denver and the Lakers fall out of the playoffs. I see us, Minnesota and new Orleans fighting fir the last two spots.

Speak for yourself! I actually think we can be top 4 in the west. That's only if we keep Aldridge

I hope you're right. I think we're on the right track but we are a year or two away in moves before we're a WC power.

I truly think that cj, trob and Lopez can really be the X factors. We still don't know about the rest of our 4 mil and min mle either. I just like where we are going

Back in the playoff hunt again, I agree. But we shall see if the lads are deployed well.

I think we are 41-45 win team next year. Gives us the right to lose to the Thunder/Clippers/Rockets in the first round most likely but the experience will be key for guys like Lillard, Leonard, and McCollum. Heck Batum with his expanded role will get some real playoff experience. I think 2014-15 is when we really start to compete.

I think and the banana chicken when Blazers in pear suits went to read quick. Later, full sized goats to be winners, I swallowed four cheeses. Never in blessed company or tin snips.

Go Blazers

given health to all...

1 Rockets
2 Thunder... Russell Westbrook?
3 Spurs... Duncan's troublesome feet finally were right again last year
4 Warriors... a fully mended Bogut would make them really tough
5 Blazers... bench should be much improved with CJ, Robinson, & a year of seasoning for last year's 4 rooks
6 Clippers... leftover Laker star power void/BS calls could push them up

STOMP

1. Spurs
2. Golden State
3. OKC
4. Houston
5. Clippers
6. Memphis
7. Lakers
8. Portland

Why would you put the Blazers behind the beaten and depleated Lakers?

I don't see PDX getting past 8th without a real center. And I couldn't decide who should go 7, so I figured the Lakers would figure out some way to make the playoffs.

With Utah and Denver taking some serious steps back, and Dallas not making any real progress, I could see Lakers sneaking in as well.

Re: Ok, the major players are now known for the 2013-2014 season.

Lakers will be tanking this season

The only teams out West that are definitely better than the Blazers are the Spurs, Rockets, and Thunder. There is no reason we can't fight for #4 seed. None at all. The team to watch this year is the Pelicans. They are putting together a very nice team that will compete.

I agree with Sly.

And GS and the Clips and Houston...

Two rookies, two wash-ups and Robin Lopez doesn't net us 20 more wins than we had last season.
