That's the first time I can recall we made Dallas pay for playing Barea. Normally that twerp kills us with his speed, but Miller kept posting him until Carlisle cried uncle.

Twerp is the perfect description of Barea...that guy bugs the crap out of me and I don't know why...

Miller played out of his mind tonight. I certainly didn't see it coming. I still don't think he's that good though.

Well, good for Andre that you "believing in him" doesn't affect how good he actually is or isn't.

And Andre Miller doesn't think you are very good at evaluating talent.

So, what exactly would he need to do for you to think he's "that good"?

I asked it in your other thread, but didn't get a response:

For the month of January (15 games) he averaged 18.8 PTS, 6.7 AST, 4 REB and shot exactly 0.500 from the field. When was the last time we had a PG come close to matching those numbers? In fact, it's very rare for a Blazer PG to average ONE of those things for a month, let alone all four.

When was the last time the Blazers had a better PG? Blake doesn't come close. Neither did Jack. Telfair, yeah right. In all his years with the Blazers, Damon never had a single month that can match the January Andre Miller just completed. Nick Van Exel? Not in a Blazer uniform. You need to go all the way back to 1995-96 and Rod Strickland to find a better month for a Blazer PG.

Is Miller a superstar? No. But he continues to be exactly what he's been his entire 10.5 year NBA career - an above average starting PG,and the best one the Blazers have had in 14 years. To answer the question you asked in your other thread - THAT is why we signed him.

It almost seems ike you are disappointed by the way you titled the Thread. By the way did you need to use the F word in the title of the thread. To answer your question I did not see 52 coming, but Dre is a very solid PG that you don't seem to like very much. Just because a pg doesnt shot and make a bunch of threes does not make him a bad pg.

Unfortunately, this was one of the few games I didn't get to see. I saw the final score while ordering takeout last night and a brief segment on Blazer all-time leading scorers for a single game. When I saw Miller's name up there with a big 52 I had to re-check when I got home.

Definitely not expected from a guy who set his career best 8 years ago. Needless to say, I woke up at 3:00 a.m. to catch the replay of the game. Worth it!
