this isnt a quick fix. when u have drafted crap for 4 years and signed bad free agents..... this is what u get.

next year we will likely have a top 5 pick. i guess thats the good news. the dark days are here again. and theres no brandon roy to save franchise. allen will sell.... and its many years of hell for blazer fans.

We have to trade both Batum/LA to suck hard enough to get a pick under 10. Have you seen the horrible east teams, the worst west team won't have a top 5 pick for years.

Hate that trade. We dont' get a real PG and we give up Crash to get a shooter a soft PF and a PG prospect who is probably worse then Nolan smith.

Lol I know I hate it too. Maybe if we got Phoenix's first rounder? Lol

Three Team between NY/Phoenix/PDX

Three Team with NY / Phoenix / Portland

Portland trades Crawford, Felton, Wallace. They receive Frye, Nash and Warrick

New York Trades: Melo. They receive Wallace, Crawford and Phoenix's protected first.

Phoenix trades: Protected first, Nash, Frye and Warrick. They receive Melo and Felton.

Portland would have E Will as the SG back-up to Matthews, Batum starts at 3, Aldridge and Frye start and Nash runs the team.

maggs.... i wish this could happen but get ready for the dark years

Hmm--that's not terrible. I think NY will probably want more for Melo, and I think they want more time to see if MelLinAmare will work before they deal him, but that's pretty reasonable.

I like the idea as well. Also, we would have an open slot to retain Patty Mills and be our PG reserve.

So far, NY is 0-2 since Melo came back from injury and they lost to a shitty team in the process. Crawford was really wanted in NY, and Wallace is a much better defensive upgrade to Melo. It also gives them some cap flexibility and an opportunity to get a decent pick.

Phoenix would have that superstar that will sell tickets. Also, I don't think Melo would mind being the #1 option once again. There are too many chiefs in NY. They need role playing Indians.

Actually, they just beat Cleveland, with Lin outplaying Kyrie Irving.

Here's a few that I think have slight possibilities...

With the Pacers pushing for top-4 Eastern Conference HCA. No secret that KP coveted GWall too...

George has been up and down, Wallace would give them a perimeter defender, tough rebounder and an energy guy. Foster gets released.

LAC could use a scorer off the bench.

Bledsoe is young, talented enough for a look-see and cheap, can't be any worse than we already have. Billups gets released, OR (my favorite idea) groomed to become the next head coach of the Portland Trailblazers.

Just for shits and giggles:

We get - Nene and Nash
Denver gets - Camby, Gortat, and Crawford
Phoenix gets - Wallace, Felton, and Harrington

Sounds reasonable, but I think Clips won't want to make us better, IMO.

Heading into the playoffs, I think giving up a reserve guard for a gunner that can create his own shot would be worth it for them... Historically, Crawford has shown up in big games. If the Clips are serious about winning it all, Crawford could be a great wing shooter with Paul's drive/dish mentality.

Swap out Billups and get us Foye instead. Send them Nolan Smith too.

I think that'd be bordering on unrealistic territory... Teams gearing up for the playoffs typically look for additions that bolster the team while making minimal ripples... I know Foye's not a superstar, but he's played very well for them, is well liked by the team, and at the end of the day, is part of their rotation... W/ Billups' out, they pick up another guard w/ handles, capable of making big shots in the clutch for a very minor on-court investment...

I don't know about that whole "played very well for them" thing--Foye's PER is below 12. Trade machine suggests that this trade makes them better (not that that's definitive, but it's not meaningless either). Basically, Bledsoe for Smith is the cost of upgrading from Foye to Crawford--not unrealistic at all, IMO.

We get to keep Camby:

What makes this suggestion different from most is that I bet the Suns would jump at it.

Waitaminute: how the fuck is Przybilla on the books for $7.7M!!??

Okay, here's a trade that gets Rondo AND his bestest buddy in the world, so that he is a happy and content Rondo:

rondo trade.jpg

Why would OKC do it? Because they realized they screwed up bad splurging on Perkins.
Why would Boston do it? Eh, they probably wouldn't. But you can dream. And throw in $3M or something. Or trade Wallace in that Orlando trade and send the resulting trade exception and picks to Boston instead.

So when the trade deadline passes and there isn't any moves....
