Okay trade machiners

That Indiana trade that has GW going to Indiana for Paul George and Jeff Foster is horrible. First, KP has little say in the Pacer front office according to the info we got at the Wheels/Vance happy hour. GW is not going to be worth a young prospect and cap space. Indiana values George probably more than Batum right now since he will be on his rookie contract for awhile.

I agree with Brock in that you cannot draft for four years and not get a productive player if your team is not already set. I think our best option is to replace Coach Nate for someone with a more uptempo coaching style. Adelman would have been perfect.

So when the trade deadline passes and there isn't any moves....

Pretty pissed offed. If management thinks we are fine this season, then every head should roll. If Nate is still coach by the end of this season; if he hasn't made it passed the first round or even make a playoff; he better be canned too.

I said it had a slight possibility of happening... Indiana is gearing up for a playoff run. That trade has them giving an inconsistent 19 year old for a proven veteran whom we know their Director of Player Personnel has had interest in before. Whether or not you think it's a little too much back our way, not really sure it's "horrible", especially prefacing it that I outrightly recognized that it had little chance of happening...

I really don't think it's THAT bad of a trade. Granger and West are in their primes, Hibbert is balling out and Collison is just entering his prime... They're looking squarely at the playoffs, would they prefer George, a 19 year old, or Wallace, a proven commodity.

I think they would prefer the better player ... and that's George.

Not to pick nits, but I've read a couple times on here that George is 19. He's not, he'll be 22 in May. Still a solid ball player and amazing he grew 2 inches as a 21 year old.

Paul Allen has too much pride to re-hire Adelman.

Maybe Allen should stop being a pompous asshole and do the right thing. Every businessman learns from mistakes. Obviously the firing of adelman was a big mistake.

That's cute. You say it almost like you really believe it.

We only give up our capspace in that one. Probably the only way to get Rondo without giving up Nic.

Maybe throw in Nolan and Elliot to BOS.

Rondo is not going anywhere. Management has already said that the rumors aren't true. Boston will not trade their best young prospect. Doesn't make sense for them.

Why do any teams trade their young talent? It does happen, you know. Jason Kidd has been traded at least three times in his career and he is a future HOFer.

Well because rumor has it management laughed at the idea of Rondo being on the block.

What else are they going to say? They need to keep his value up as high as possible

Okay let me go on record and say that if there was a chance to get rondo without trading Batum, I'm down for it. Just like I'm down for trading for Nash without using Batum. Is that fair?

And maybe would have to give up Eliot Williams also.

We can't trade our pick this year because we traded Charlotte our pick last year and next year for Wallace. I hope to God it was protected next year
I didn't realize that; doesn't it count that we got a first round pick from somebody else that we used last year? Anyway I guess it would have to be future picks.

We did not trade our pick to CHA. We traded NO's pick from 2011. We did trade our 2013 pick to CHA however.

I would trade Batum for Rondo. No doubt.
