You hear that? OKC is guaranteed the 8th seed, behind the Blazers.

Promising future!

Where did you guys run off to tonight when your Thunder blew their lead?

This is mostly directed at Mixum. All year long he used the Thunder as a reason why KP should be fired, Blazers suck, etc, etc.

Guess what? Mixum was wrong.....AGAIN.

I'll support BGrantFan on this one. Ain't right to cut & run when you're behind. Take your lumps like a man.

I also know that promising future means absolutely nothing! It guarantees you nothing!

Damn straight. :devilwink:

OTOH, I feel fairly comfortable in predicting that the NW division is going to be a dog-fight next season.

I'm touched. I love it when people think enough to start a thread in my honor

VERY promising.

A) It's Durant and Green's third year in the league. Westbrook's 2nd. And Harden and Ibaka's. first.

B) Durant is younger than Roy was his rookie year. Durant is leading the league in scoring.

C) The Thunder were only 23-59 last year. They have made a 26 (maybe 27) game improvement in one fucking season.

I don't see how any Thunder fan couldn't be THRILLED with that.

Meanwhile, our star is hurt. Our #1 pick has undergone 2 knee surgeries. Trades/Signings for Camby, Miller, & Howard have made today look great but they won't be in the league when the Thunder hit their stride.

And in an instance it all can change. It means nothing, just something to talk about.

They can have fun with the Lakers.

I will definitely root for the Thunder but I'll be jealous if they pull it off because I want us to beat the Lakers.

Don't worry. We'll take care of the Fake Show in the Western Conference Finals. :devilwink:

I'm here. I'd still take Durant over Oden for the record. The broken record for those of us that like scorers.

I don't like the Blazers chances as a road team in the playoffs. But I'm ecstatic that OKC gets a dose of Kobe in the NBA playoffs.

The Blazers were supposed to "hit their stride" this season. Instead, one of the most incredible seasons in terms of injury in NBA history for a 50-win team.

It's almost like Blazer fans have a defeatist attitude. Good things eventually can happen. Keep the faith. OKC has had an abnormal year in terms of injury, and they're scraping for 50 wins.

I respect that you self-identify as an OKC lover. Your posts show me you're not a Blazer fan.

Um, your post in the game thread alleviated those concerns. Thanks for backing Nik the Thunder Fan, though. I'm sure he appreciates it, considering his posts in the game thread!

I feel bad for both us and Seattle. How great would this I-5 rivalry be? I couldn't give two shits about Oklahoma City; let them root for Dallas or focus on the Sooners. I loved the days when our corner of the country was as feared as the current Texas Triangle.

Couldnt agree more Maxiep!

How does a 26 game improvement mean nothing?

Because next year for whatever reason they can lose 2-3 players to injury and be back to 40 wins. Or maybe in 2-3 years they lose one of their 3 main players. Maybe they just can't get it done(Jazz). What happens this year doesn't have any affect on next year. Watching the blazers this year should tell you that.

All I know is they're no better than the Blazers.
