What I don't get is why do people pile their plates with mountains of food when they can go back unlimited times. It's just gross as they waddle around with food falling off their plates.

They're trying to limit the amount of times they actually have to get up and walk back over to the food line.

Nothing wrong with piling it high 10 plates at a time. The purpose is to gain weight and how can you do that if you have to get up and walk all the way to the food 10 times?
