Blazers broadcasting has it's own page on the team website....it includes all broadcasters...Mike and Mike were there before....in my view that's working for the Blazers broadcasting branch...Casey works for Blazers media branch...in my understanding these are both divisions of the Blazers franchise and not subcontracted positions

Okay? And now you understand why what you originally said was wrong about Casey.

I understand zoom is free but if there's no media access Casey and Brooke probably don't get paid that day right?

Casey gets paid, year around. Brook doesn't.

Yes, again, exactly what I'm saying.

HCP works for Blazer broadcasting and is free to work other gigs.

Casey works for the Blazers and is not free to pick up other gigs.

Oh, I think I'm confused. So you're separating out the two. I'm not sure how the broadcasting side of things work. The website and Casey is through the Blazers corporate side of things. It's a 100% of the time gig. Broadcasting goes on hiatus I think during the offseason, but then again I'm not sure because they did things like "courtside." I'm not super familiar with their contract structure.

Casey is on salary.(I'm going with your assertion here) ..Brooke might be a wage worker....not sure but they are listed as members of the Portland Trailblazers, not another company

I didn't actually know Casey was on salary but I knew he didn't like working offseason when he didn't have to.

YES!

They work for separate divisions within the Blazers.

Not quite sure that Casey is paid all year around though....school teachers on salary don't get paid in the offseason....I know he usually prepares for draft coverage but we haven't had much life in the draft now for a couple seasons.

I never said she didn't work for the Blazers.

Lillard works for the Blazers. But the terms of how he is paid is different than someone who works in the office.

Casey generates content for the Blazers year around.

do you know if they are employees of Blazer Broadcasting or sub-contractors?

I believe all employees of Blazer Broadcasting, including HCP, are under contract. The terms and lengths of those contracts I have no idea about, lol.

What the fuck detour did this take?

What the fuck detour did this take?
pretty much my post about teams limiting media access since covid and finding they like having the media out of the practice facility etc...and I thought it might save them money....not sure how that's derailed the topic of no media stream from Olshey but hey....it's all good. Did I miss a topic that doesn't tie those things together somehow? If I'd just posted Olshey is a dick....I would have stuck to the theme a bit more I guess

Back on topic.

Even the Mavs are having their exit interviews now in front of live media after getting eliminated less than 24 hrs ago.

Screw Olshey and his micromanagement and lack of transparency.

Neil is like most video game developers, who think they know more than their paying customers, and yet most of the people on this board new that DJJ was a bad signing.
