Are you a fucking moron? The United States is easily the second best team on talent and it’s not close.

SWEDEN is the 3rd best team based on talent, not the US. Overall, the US and Canada are MILES and MILES ahead of the other countries in this tournament as the two best right now. You are so ready to argue and call people names you don't actually read what is being written...LOL.

I enjoy international sports once in a while. It’s not always only about club sports.
Totally agree. Yesterday within an hour or so watching the US women score in OT to beat Canada for the gold, followed by Alysa Liu winning the women's individual figure skating gold, was very exciting. I enjoyed watching both and rooting for the USA.

It’s close between US and Sweden talent wise. I would take US roster but it’s close than you think
Purely based on talent, Sweden has a good team, but overall team ability or chances to win a gold/silver medal, I don't think it's that close. First in goal the US is much better than Sweden. Second, Sweden plays soft European hockey, and that doesn't usually go well in these best-on-best tournaments. Based on the names on the back of the jerseys Sweden should be close, but they are not when it comes to playing the way you need to play to win these games. They were the 7 seed for a reason.

Truth is, although Sweden has more talent, Finland is better than Sweden in these tournaments because they play a much more hard-nosed tough style, which is what's needed in these tournaments.

I think the US and Canada are closer than people think. The US has a clear edge in goal, I think an edge on D, and upfront they both have great depth. What raises Canada is their top end talent upfront. They have the two best players in the world, McD and MacK, and Celebrini may be the 4th best player in the world already (and I didn't even mention Marner). Canada is so loaded up top, it's hard to stop.

I'd rank the countries like this (not based just on talent, but style of play needed in these tournaments):

Canada and US are 1 and 2, very close.
3. Russia
4. Finland
5. Sweden

So I have Sweden 5th even though they clearly have more talent than Finland. I think Russia would be the clear 3rd best country if they were playing.

As for today, I expect a comfortable US win, it won't be a one goal game. I think Finland will not be an easy out against Canada, it will be a tough game that Canada finds a way to win. Canada has the clearly tougher matchup today I think.

After the US and Canada win today, get ready for 8:10 Sunday morning, gold medal game which should be filled with a lot of passion, energy, and great hockey. Looking forward to watching.

USA USA!!!

I did read what you wrote. It was your piss poor, sentence structure that could have had what you said interpreted two different ways. I love how morons like you already put Canada in the final as if Finland sucks and has no chance.

No, it wasn't, it was very clear, your reading comprehension skills are extremely low.

Another perfect example of your awful reading comprehension skills, I literally wrote:

I think Finland will not be an easy out against Canada, it will be a tough game.

And you write "I love how morons like you already put Canada in the final as if Finland sucks and has no chance".

I did think Canada would win, and they still may, but Finland was going to be very tough today, as I very clearly wrote earlier.

So yeah, you have awful reading comprehension skills, and a big reason why is all you want to do is be angry and call people names, it's your brand. So, you don't really want to read what people write, you just want to nitpick and spew anger. You are who you are, and that is very clear as well.

Anyway, back on planet earth, as I wrote earlier, not surprised Finland is giving Canada all they can handle, Finland is a tough team. With that said, Canada dominated the 2nd period, if that continues into the 3rd it's only a matter of time before Canada scores, and will win the game.

My best guess right now is the team that scores the next goal wins the game. Should be a fun 3rd period, I hope Finland can get it done. I cannot stand Canada in general, especially their hockey team.

What a shame for Finland. Game played out pretty much exactly as I thought it would, hard fought close game, Finland would be tough as nails as always and would most likely come up a bit short. Into the 3rd, the team that scored the next goal was going to win.

If the US beats Slovakia, and I expect them to do so in a semi comfortable non-one goal game, they must stay out of the penalty box against Canada, if the US can do that, I think they'll beat Canada.

To me the great high level talent Canada has is almost unstoppable on the PP. Stay out of the box, and the US wins the gold, I think. And it won't be easy, because we know the refs will absolutely favor Canada as they did today, and it will be even worse on Sunday as you know they hate America.

Looking good so far. The real semifinal was against Sweden. This is just a scrimmage to practice before the final against Canada
