Pretty much, girls in college would try to drag us out to the gay clubs. I think a lot of them went there just to tell people they went to the gay clubs to show how cool they were.

Just didn't sound fun to be honest, would rather bro out at Sharkeez than hit up the Abbey.

Anyone willing to guess why people aren't putting rainbow flags or changing their profile pictures on Facebook because of this like they do during most tragedies of this nature? I notice, at least on my feed, people aren't doing the same thing as they usually do.

Seems like there was more of a social media reaction to the Paris Islamic Terrorist attacks than the Orland Islamic Terrorist attacks. Are we numb to these things?

With the exception of the Fish Grotto, every "gay" bar in Portland that I've been to had more straight people than gay. No, they all weren't dudes dressed as women, lol. The "straight" clubs downtown would all close at 2:30am, but the "gay" clubs would stay open to 4 or 5am. If you were too drunk to drive or just still wanted to party you either went to a "gay" club or to QP in NW Portland. (Mmmm... Quality Pie was the bomb at 3am, it was like the Hotcake House on Powell but besides 24hr breakfast they had awesome desserts.) After 2:30am the "Gay" clubs were always filled with hot drunk chicks. If some of you were really the lady hunters you claim to be you should know this.



And I don't know what it's like today but Embers just said they were a gay bar, it was nothing more than a front for downtown's biggest drug market.

Went to cc slaughters on halloween the one time. It was filled with gay people. Not that i can tell someone right off the bat all the time, but if i had to guess that night it was 90% gay.

Hardcore gay porn was too much. But id feel uncomfortable in public watching hardcore straight porn too.

Let me be very clear. This guy was mouthing off about belonging to ISIS or IsiL. That should be enough right there to be treated as and enemy combatant.
They have declared war on us and the President and Congress should treat it as real. ISIS took credit for this event, this guy says He is one of them.

Saw a report come across my TL that the shooter had been spotted at Pulse "dozens" of times before the shooting. Not sure if it's true. I haven't had the time to do more research as I'm at work. However, it wouldn't surprise me. None of this feels like an islamic extremest-only action. I don't know what I, an individual, can do to stop this from happening but I'm open to suggestions. I just feel helpless as I read accounts of the massacre, and I feel more will certainly follow. There are no good answers.
