Trump will select Kasich as VP and he is most knowledgeable in governing of all the candidates. The pair of them is by far the best chance we have.

I was really disappoint in Trump saying he would issue more H1 visas. It was even better when he backed off yesterday than if he had never said it.
It shows the man does have some knowledgeable people advising him about the stuff where he is not up to speed. Kasich will be a great addition to team with the leader.

I have used the H-1 visa route a few times, a couple because I needed a the language skills along with the technical. Then one time, I needed a guy that knew multiple systems and that rarely happens. I wrote the job description very specific where I figured only he and I could qualify. I ran the ad in several papers for two weeks with no responders.
These reasons I think are valid, they were not done to import skills at lower wages then American worker, as happens these day way too often. Bill Gates lead the way here.

trump?

He's been an executive and budgeted $billions with P&L responsibility. He's more qualified than most.

Like it or not.

Are you of the opinion that budgeting is a major part of the job description of President?

I will grant you he has executive experience, that is true. Kasich's executive experience is probably 1000 times more relevant, but Trump has been an executive.

That's really where I'm at too. Hoping if trump is the nominee that kasich is his vp. Kasich is the best candidate, and imo has thebest policies and could actually make both sides work together. it's top bad his popularity hasn't risen during this process.

It's frankly unlikely Kasich is the VP. He could be, but I don't see why Trump picks him rather than say, Beyonce or Charles Manson.

Too bad that Oregon doesn't carry more political clout or Trump could decide to go with a

Bad
Ass
Rotten
Fuckhead
Oregonian

that those of on this board could recommend.

I would be perfect. Then when Trump resigns in disgrace Jan 23rd, I can implement my plans.

It's the economy, stupid.

The country has a P&L of sorts.

Who the hell has uncoupled money from politics more than Trump? Geez, he is the only one in my memory, that doesn't take from anyone.

Seems like you haven't been paying attention Further.

Somebody hasn't been paying attention:

Trump and campaign staffers have told potential donors and others that he would begin raising money for the general election as soon as he secures the nomination, the source said.

The campaign's message would be "basically, we're going to be a traditional party candidate," as far as fund-raising is concerned, the individual told CNN.

So I just want to be clear, that that wasn't my argument and that I never said that Obama:

handed over a big chunk of the treasury to insurance companies.

That was you. What I said Obama did was hand insurance companies millions of customers.

He's the least qualified of all the candidates...and he inherited his fortune and has been bailed out of failures multiple times. He lacks diplomatic skills, military knowledge and sensationalizes issues in a very uninformed manner..He's a bully, a narcissist and a misogynistic playboy from the 70's NY scene. Talks about jobs but actually is only famous for saying "You're fired!" Worst choice of a world leader you could make...look beyond his personal empire..see the man for who he is.

None of the other candidates have needed to be bailed out (but not all the time, hardly). The rest of what you say may be true, I don't disagree with it. Though those things don't have much to do with his qualifications to be president.

They said some of those things about Reagan and he turned out to be one of the greatest diplomats as president in our history.

There is some irony to the Republicans sending out Romney to try and bring the guy down. Romney couldn't defeat the worst president we've had since Jimmy Carter.

No kidding! Makes you wonder who these Republicans are? Or Romney? He seems pretty much the fool tool with this. Damn near embarrasses me that I thought highly of the man.

I love it that Carter is a fave target of, let us say, anti-liberals. Here's a guy who not only was the most genuine Christian of any president probably ever (and I say that as an atheist), he was a genuine hero (see the whole nuclear reactor incident) and he BROUGHT PEACE BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST, which has proved impossible to every other president ever. Plus, I always think it's the true test of a president what they do afterwards. Reagan was senile (because he was while in office), Bush paints himself in the bath, Clinton does some good things but also makes himself millions, and meanwhile Carter sets up Habitat For Humanity, the Carter Center for Democracy (that monitors elections around the world), and when he found out he had cancer, volunteered to be a guinea pig.
We could use more "bad presidents" like that.

Carter was a good man at one point. A horrible president. The two aren't exclusive.

You make the case he was a good ex president. I frankly don't care, he's done nothing for me (nor should he). He's become something of an awful antisemite.
