...got the shit scared out of me by a big assed diamondback...I'm guessing close to 6 feet which is a monster around these parts...deer season doesn't open for another 2 weeks but luckily I had my 22 with me and shot him...I'll post pics later

lol...no....I've had rattle snake before...not my cup of tea.

...I had to shoot him/her while it was still coiled up and the shots went through the head/neck and pretty much screwed up the skin so it's not worth skinning really.

word on the street is the doves paid off the snake for the hit , problem is he didn't know u were packin...

lol, he wouldn't know the first thing on how to put a HIT on someone...

...Yanx' offensive stats say otherwise...spin again.

...instead of hijacking every thread with your inane 3rd grade agenda try using your head for a change and maybe people would treat you a little differently.

congrats on joining the iggy list with your "likable" buddy tattoo, your incessant childish behavior has gotten old!

I swear, this is no better than Jonah Falcon shitting all over the place, on the BSPN board; (again)- some clowns will do anything for attention,.....

  • If I wanted to kill myself I’d climb your ego and jump to your IQ.
  • I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a smarter statement than that.
  • I don’t exactly hate you, but if you were on fire and I had water, I’d drink it.
  • You must have been born on a highway because that’s where most accidents happen.

There's an old saying. A wise man will speak because he has something to say. A fool will speak because he has to say something.

That doesn't warrant it's death
...uhhh, yes it does...it was within 40 yards of where my deer stand is and where I'll be in 2 weeks...and it was very close to biting my dog...you started this bleeding heart crap awhile back over me killing a coyote...I seem to remember you saying that I should trap the animal instead and release him elsewhere.

...you don't have guns and you don't hunt and you don't live where I live but you're trying to take some sort of moral high ground by telling me to have pity on a very poisonous rattle snake?...please, gimme a break.

...you're pretending to know about something that you obviously don't.

Snake like that is gonna be an issue, especially if you're out hunting and have dogs with you. At that size, he has a good life. Now picking off yotes, they are just too close to dogs, I couldn't do it. But can't judge, every situation is different...you use your best judgement.

And I'm sure if 59 goes full on killing rampage, he'll be in DC, not the backwoods.

I have no qualms about blowing away any venomous threat, to my life or others. It's literally Kill or be killed around most Venomous Snakes; out here in the Mojave, or down South, I've met more snakes in both places, than I care to talk about, (that says alot).

I never believed a snake, on an non-endangered list, deserves to live, if its wandered into my staked lawns, near my Live stock, dogs, et al. MY stake, not the intruder. Most venomous snakes, have been radio chipped, and can travel up to 5 miles in a day.....

I watched a breeding frenzy ball of over 50 Mojave Greens, mating; cross breeding with approx: 40-Western Diamondbacks, on the edge of Air Force Property. The USAF brought out a few G.I.'s with Machine Guns, each also had grenades. The Photographer took his Pics 1st, and even the Animal Shelter, and ASPCA, said: *** "it was more than justified a killing; by the USAF." These new hybrids are much bigger, with double the venom sacs; and creating a worse scenario for CroFab & other anti-venoms, which one now can require double, triple the CroFab....

*** Bottom line is: a Teenager was riding his motorcycle thru the desert, and discovered the ball, which was 1/2 mile from a Elementary and Pre-School Playground(s)........justified genocide.....!!!

Whatev

I know plenty about it and I'm far from a bleeding heart, but go ahead and judge... feel free

...uhhh, look again hypocrite, you were the one who first decided to "judge"...again, you made an assessment on a serious situation I was in that you obviously knew nothing about.
...and I didn't call you a "bleeding heart"...read it again and put it in it's proper context this time. What I said was that your clearly uninformed attitude on shooting wild animals that pose a threat as "bleeding heart crap"... it's tantamount to me saying that your assessment was "idiotic"...but that does not by default mean I'm personally calling you an "idiot"...see the difference now?

...like you said "whatev"... I'm done with this if you are.

Let's say a nice little prayer and have a moment of silence for Mr. Rattler....a luxury he never afforded to his pray.

...thank you...the puppy that was with me was the one who walked up on the snake first...I heard the rattle and grabbed the pup...I had a gun and the snake didn't...end of story.
...Tote, I'm WAY out in the country and 15 miles to the nearest hospital which probably doesn't even have the correct anti-venom anyway...and if I were to get bitten by one of these, at my age, it could be very, very serious...possibly fatal.

...these are the largest venomous snakes in north America...and if you've never seen what their bite can do, google it...it ain't pretty.

Poor snake

...^^^he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

When did I attack you? You called me a hypocrite... I felt bad for the snake... hence the poor snake.... not a '59 is a murderous scumbag.... just poor snake... You shot just because it was there and was a snake... There are rattlers near me, I'd hunt if I could, but I'm not about to try on my own with no input, no training... I'd need someone to teach me and am very open to it... I've almost stepped on a rattlesnake while camping... did I shoot it, no, did I beat it with a stick, no... did I leave it be, yes... and my tent was 10 feet from where I found it... The snake did nothing... I didn't dispense any personal attack... I only stated that you were judging... I just said poor snake.. that was it... but go ahead and get your panties in a twist if ya want lassie... I'm done

...sorry, but first claiming that I was "judging" was in fact being " a hypocrite". Read again what you said in post # 22. And saying "poor snake" and that the snake "didn't deserve to die" (posts #9 & #14) is "judging"

...Were you there yesterday when this happened?...no, you weren't and again, you have absolutely no idea about the whole situation. Did you have a gun at the time?...No. Well I did. Do you regularly hunt in the area I was in?...No. Well I do. Did you have a young puppy there that did not understand the danger and was barking at the snake?...No. Well I did.

...and please, just stop with "i'm a victim" and that I "attacked" you here and you feel insulted somehow...you had a chance to kill a snake but chose not to?...well good for you !...I could couldn't care less.

...and sorry, but my panties aren't "in a twist"...I gave you the opportunity to let this go...you chose this route...your fault...now, I'll ask you once again to please just let this go.
