It pretty much goes to show you how this organization is being run these days. You can't blame the starting pitching injuries because the starting pitching for the most part hasn't been the problem at all. This offense is a complete fucking disgrace. 1 run in 18 innings of a double header. You have to be kidding me. Letting Cano walk because you don't want to get involved in a bad contract is one thing. Trying to get by with patch work crap is another. Kelly Johnson and Brian Roberts gets turned into a non hitting Drew and crap like Wheeler. A three year contract for a past his prime Beltran which will be another bad contract to wait out along with that of Tex, Arod and CC. I'm sickened by what has been allowed to happen here.

I'm predicting right now, a good 2015 season. And by good I'm saying a 90+win season.

As Hank Williams Jr. once sang "It's all over but the crying" 2015 brings the return of A-rod, (Strike 1), CC (Strike 2), and Texeria (Strike 3). Rehire Cashman and he'll further stinken the pot.

...frustration makes it easy to bash this team right now, but from what I remember most everyone liked this team's chances before the season began...Baseball is a weird game and you just never know how things will go until the games are actually played. There are/were many surprises in MLB this year, good and bad.

Hell, I had the team getting between 90-95 wins back in April.

so cashman is responsible for, macann beltran tex , the core of the offense , all allstars b4 playing for girardi. cashman, a man who never played the game, a guy who is given a check book to go after the biggest names, a hack who while the "boss" was here, team got to PS 16 of 18 years, is to blame.... Please, cashman has nothing to do with this, the offense needed to have a fire lit underneath them, and thats not cashman's job! joe tries to be a different coach, banning ice cream from the clubhouse, days off no matter the sitation, that ain't leadership, thats coddling, its on the skipper!

posted many times, ' i like this team, i do not understand the manager

u will not have a 90 win season with this skipper....... you will have injuries, you will have slumps, what you can't have is a coach that is status quo! ... and fundemantals matter!!! YES!! even for teams with $200 mill payrolls..

He has 4 90+ win seasons. You're making little to no sense.

anymore... joe didn't have much to do with MO and the core 4.. now that they are gone so will the 90 win seasons

Pasta, I tend to agree this lineup needed some type of tweaking , if you want to use the word fire, okay by me. Girardi should've given this lineup a big shake up a few times to the point where it would be obvious that the manager was disappointed with the production he's has been getting...and he should've done it over a month ago and continued to do it on occasion throughout.

I think he should've put Ellsbury in the leadoff spot and left him there.
I also think Girardi was put in a tough situation with Jeter batting 2nd as he began to fade offensively to the point where has become a weak hitter with hardly any power - he has 19 extra-base hits at this point -- 19!
