I know Jimmy Carter was a peanut farmer, but who else?
Peanuts are big in the South. I remember going to the Atlanta Farmers' Market with my dad over half a century ago and buying and eating my first boiled peanuts. By the way, that's got to be the best farmers' market I've ever been to.

Been down here for about three months and I had no idea there were so many convenience stores with boiled peanuts sitting in crockpots.

Did he buy his peanut farm in Louisiana?

No, he grew peanuts among many other things in his garden at Monticello. He was a terrible farmer, more of a gardner, still not a great one, though he knew of and understood the importance of agriculture.
