Opinions on Afflalo?

I think hes going to turn out great for us. You can already tell he's a hard nosed defender and a great mid range shooter which we freaking need since we have nobody that goes into the paint/mid range that much.
Aldridge?

Absolutely love this acquisition for the team. Guy is high character, talented, intelligent and motivated. I have no issues with the trade that brought him here

I may get dissed for this but honestly, Afflalo is a better offensive player than Wes or Nic. He should be our third option on offense. He's more consistent and can score in a variety of ways that Wes and Nic can't. Stotts needs to get him more shots. He's a very efficient and diverse scorer. LOVE the acquisition.

At least I realize that our child is a rabbit.

But back to Afflalo: he seems okay, but it also seems clear that he looked better because he was on crappy teams. He's an average NBA player at best (with a funky slow release on his shot). To be fair, that makes him instantly our best bench player, but I was also surprised to see he is already 29.

Meh...I think you're jumping. Let him finish the season.

What I like about him is he is a polished basketball player on both ends of the court. As for his shot. I think it's a beautiful stroke.

We always have starters on the floor.

Exactly. The Bulls always had Scotty or MJ on the floor. When AAA comes in he should get warmed up by playing with mostly starters. Then gradually as they take more starters out, he begins playing with 2-3 bench players. (Blake, Kaman, and Leonard)

But the bottom line is not to bring them all in off the bench ice cold. When you are playing 25-30 minutes you obviously are going to play with some starters. I absolutely hate wholesale lineup changes. As we get closer to the playoffs, the rotation will shorten. AAA needs to get used to playing with everyone. He will be getting starter minutes.

I haven't taken the original poster seriously for a few years now. He'd rather have Papanikalou over Lillard if it was up to him.

Currently, Robinson has 13/5 in 14 minutes vs Toronto

See what being in Portland has done for T-Rob? He's gone from not seeing the floor with one crappy team (Sacramento) to putting up meaningless stats on an even crappier one! I personally hope that T-Rob gets a big offer from CSKA Moscow or China, where he would become a basketball GOD.

I think TRob will have a fine career. And his experience in Portland will have contributed much to his development.

Bump. Getting Afflalo seems to have done two good things: it's made both Wes and CJ look better.

Big let down. But then again, the only Blazer right now that is not a let down is LaMarcus Aldridge.

I still think AA has a ton of skill, but needs to get comfortable here. Blazers are so used to Wes and his 3pt shot.

It's like LaMarcus and the rest of the team can't play good at the same time.

Worryingly, opposing centers seem to be feasting. Is this because Rolo is playing badly? Or because he's being forced to cover for others' mistakes? I haven't watched enough to know.
