Don't worry homeslice...lby then there'll be a boom in OLD gas powered cars but you'll be in one of those electric wheelchairs by then I'm guessing anyway.
Sorry bro, but those things are SO ugly! Was at a meeting last week and the docs there were showing off their whips at the valet. I think the Rivian truck got the most dap and oohs and ahhs.

Fake news....just had mine checked...it's fine and was new in 2013...you can actually jump start an electric car and battery technology is improving, not regressing. Replacing a battery is probably cheaper than replacing a V8 motor anyway. I just priced a used motor for my little 4 cylinder truck and holy shit....it's like 5 times what I paid for the truck so ...in the car world...cost of doing business...difference is when my battery finally needs replaced I've saved money on fuel costs all along...mileage just gets worse with your V8....vroom...5 dolla...vroom...10 dollar....vroom....outagas! I have a V6 SUV Nissan Xterra that I use for any hauling of materials etc....or fishing but I don't drive it without purpose...it gets OK gas mileage for an SUV...the batteries are rechargeable too...they will be able to juice up your old battery by the time 2035 rolls around anywayI will never buy an electric vehicle, ever.
SideNote: just read an article about how all the first gen electric car’s batteries are finally wearing down and now people are having to replace them. Costing more than the cars are worth and the half life on those batteries…holy shit.
Where are all these old batteries going to go? Electric vehicles customers are trying to save the earth right? Those batteries will be around for a LONG time.Fake news....just had mine checked...it's fine and was new in 2013...you can actually jump start an electric car and battery technology is improving, not regressing. Mona Loa would make quick work of them...ever seen what lava can do? Mine is in my car which , by the way, also is needed to drive your car...just put my little truck battery on the trickle charger for a couple days...hadn't started it in months...started right up...it's called the "industrial age"Where are all these old batteries going to go? That article I posted said these tesla batteries are so well built with this cement compound holding them together, they are going to be a bitch to dispose of.Mona Loa would make quick work of them...ever seen what lava can do? They get reused as grid batteries and finally recycled into new vehicle batteries.Where are all these old batteries going to go? Electric vehicles customers are trying to save the earth right? Those batteries will be around for a LONG time.
The trick is to trade in before your car has a zillion miles on it...let the dealership deal with it. I'm 68...how many more cars will I really need in life? I'm pretty sure I'm done buying cars. My wife will probably trade in the Prius for an upgrade in the future. We don't put many miles on it.This was a very informative read on what’s to come when these batteries need to be disposed of. I didn’t understand what a lot of these words meant, but it was still very informative.
