Reports are that the Ducks will have the highest paid NIL roster in college football next season.
I don't believe it for a second....chances are about 100% those "reports" are total bullshit. The 3 or 4 people that actually know the numbers aren't talking to all these asshats with a blog. Mark Cuban has injected millions into Indiana NIL. Cody Campbell has poured millions into Texas Tech NIL. Texas has several billionaire donors supercharging their NIL. John Ruiz has been a huge NIL donor for Miami although he has some major legal issues. LSU has Todd Graves and other wealthy donors paving their NIL highway. USC has convinced several millionaire/billionaire alumni to start pumping in money

it's been the go-to excuse for all non-Oregon fans to reach for: it's all Phil Knight. But I've heard from a couple of connected people that PK is a reluctant NIL participant. He still believes his money invested in facilities and infrastructure generates a lot more leverage than NIL

if the Ducks had unlimited NIL funds, they would not have had 26 players enter the transfer portal

now, for Oregon the portal activity may be at an early stage. They may make up for some of the front-7 losses with incoming transfers over the next few weeks

Believe what you want. You'll be eating crow when it becomes more public in a few weeks/month.

Connected people. Sure, the same blogger asshats you just bashed.

It's been the same go to excuse for Duck fans. "Phil Knight doesnt help us win!" blah blah blah

You're hilarious. How many of those players that bailed are real impact stud players?
Are you not aware that a good chunk of the players that enter the portal do so because the current coach/team tells them its in their best interest to do so? Basically the coach/team doesnt want them and wants to replace their roster spot with someone else.
The Ducks will easily replace them with guys/studs they want.

ok...I see now you're just trolling

Do you dispute the reports that the Ducks had the highest NIL $ average per player than any other school?
If you deny the fact that the Ducks are in the top 5 in NIL $ then you have your head in the sand. And as I said it's estimated that they will be #1 this next season. I'm not saying it to fault them or talk shit. It's what you have to do in todays college football landscape to be a top team.
I'm jealous. I'd be ecstatic if the Beavs had that kind of $ to build a roster. I'd be doing cartwheels if we had half the Ducks NIL $.

Carl Williams CB from Baylor
Koi Perich S from Minny
Iverson Hooks WR from UAB
Michael Bennet OT from Yale
Andrew Oleh TE from Penn St
Dylan Raiola QB from Nebraska
Bailey Ettridge Punter from Nevada
RJ Todd Long-Snapper from WMU
Keaton Emmitt K from Nevada

Raiola, Perich, and Ollesh are all top-50 portal signees, so probably paid a premium NIL. The rest are depth pieces, likely from the bargain bin

the Ducks don't have as deep of NIL pockets as many assume
Deep enough, if they can keep the returners they are, especially Stuart, 4 d lineman, Moore, & Dakorian Moore.

you goddamn right I dispute it. When actual, verifiable numbers are released, then I'll pay attention
So the Ducks spent the second most this last year and most certainly have been in the top 5 but you don’t think they will spend that much or more again?
That position seems a bit unlikely.

Absolutely no excuse for the Ducks to not win it all next season. They are stacked at every position, good coaches, and have all the big fancy resources.
Key injuries can derail any team. If Oregon were to lose Moore and a couple Lineman, would not winning it all need some sort of an excuse or is that just the reality of contact football and human frailty yet again?

really looking forward to next season...

Please. Any numbers you're reading are guesses not reality. We have no idea and pretending we do is just kidding yourself

Anyone trying to say the Ducks didn’t spend 30-40 million on players isn’t paying attention.
It’s funny because in the same thread the same posters are talking about Moore getting 4-5 million for next year.

please provide the proof that Oregon spent the 2nd most NIL last year. "30-40M" LOL. You're making the claims, so you should have the receipts...where are they?

You are saying nobody knows how much was spent last year? Wrong.
Well the school and the player certainly know whats what, but they aren't required to disclose their business so why would they? How many people do you tell what you make each year and would you tell a reporter to put it on blast? Reporters definitely have to report something here as thats the task they've been assigned, so they go to the player agents. Whats their motivation? To tell the truth? Yeah right, it's to make themselves look good so that the next kid signs with them. I've heard interviews with multiple players who've been asked about reported NIL dollars they're supposed to be making and each time they've laughed and said basically I wish.

😂 You guys refusing to accept the widely known NIL $ in college sports is absolutely hilarious 😂
Yet I’m sure you 100% believe the “speculation” when it comes to reports about the Blazers etc.

Guesses based on what player agents divulge.
LOL...are you fucking serious?

"hi, I'm a player agent and I want to sign other players and be their agent too. I'm really good at my job; so good I got Joe McFartland a 2M NIL contract. That's the truth, trust me, why would I lie?"

Wiz and Stomp probably believe that. 😜
lol...typical beev

neither of us have said that Oregon doesn't have an NIL program. They do, and it's likely a top-10 spender in FBS. But all this asinine garbage about 40M/year that non-Duck fans claim as a means to rationalize Oregon's success is transparent coping

HA HA HA HA!!! OMG. So every single media outlet in the country is wrong and you are right? WOW. You go buddy!
And it must hit a little close to the vest because I NEVER said anything about the NIL $ rationalizing Oregon's success. That's obviously something you are dealing with within yourself. EVERY good team spends a shit ton on NIL. EVERY SINGLE ONE. As I said, it's part of the game now. It's what you need to do to be successful. Sorry you cant accept that.

Typical spoiled brat Duck... thinking their team is holier than thou.

No different than NBA player contracts. We all believe those reports as fact. Teams/league don’t publicly release the contract amounts. We get it from agents etc.

No different??? One obvious difference is that there is no cap in college football…

Yes it’s true that all the top programs spend a ton of money. What isn’t true is that fans or media have the actual numbers. Pretty silly seeing you crack yourself with strawman arguments and believing in fairy tales.
