Looks like the Lockie era is over! lol!

It's still his scheme, leaving people on islands, no safety help, not covering runningbacks....
I'm gonna find a post for you that shows the players being out of position and missing assignments. It's the same scheme we've played for years. When players are consistently blowing assignments it looks bad.

Damn. Braylon Addison throwing the best pass we've seen all year. That was a long pass right on target. Why don't we mak ehim QB full time?

Who is Neal?

John Neal the DB coach who was probably the most respected defensive coach on the staff. Has been riding the coattails of his guys going to the Nfl and doing well for a while

It's time for a change. Alotti called the game better better than Pellum and he had less talent.

Addison would at least give us a great running threat at QB, equal to Mariota.

We should kidnap their kicker and dress Maldanado up in his uniform.

Lololol wait what???? Allotti had less talent? Kiko, Clay, Kaddu, Chung, Dargan, Boyett, Terrence Mitchell, Walter Thurmond, Dion Jordan, 2 years of Arik Armstead, 3 years of Ifo,

Vs Derrick Malone, Rodney Hardrick, Reggie Daniels, 1 year of Ifo, Joe Walker, 1 year of Armstead.

I like you, I really do. But I sincerely hope that is emotion behind the post trying to say that Pellum has more talent than Aliottie had to work with.

Here's the post I was referring to. Not just singling you out. This is a good read for everyone. People are trying really hard to stick with a narrative of blaming stuff on coaches but not realizing that a coach can only put someone in the position to succeed. But they can't tackle for them too.

It really is emotions... but I honestly do believe Pellum is horrible. Everything is poor defensively this season. Even if the talent is young, he isn't putting them in a position to look good. We are constantly in prevent it feels like.

But they can teach tackling... nothing wrong with drilling the fundamentals in these kids heads. I think every Ducks fan is tired of arm tackles.

I'm glad it's emotion :)

I do suggest checking that post I linked though. It helps with the X's and O's aspect of why it looks like our coaches are putting the players on what seems the wrong side of the field

No doubt. This is the least talented Duck defense I can remember.

True. But IMO this game hasn't been about missed tackles. It's about blown coverages in those explosion plays. The coverages on where you are supposed to be is what I'm talking about when I'm talking about the growing pains. That isn't just automatically there after 4 weeks

It looked inbounds to me, terrible call.

Brayon is our best WR and QB, too bad he can't throw to himself.

Normally with leadership you can mask that youth and it looks better. This is as deep as I can ever remember D-Line I can ever remember at Oregon though.

There are some arm tackles lol

Anyway, I think this game is proving what most of us already suspected. Last week was not some kind of fluke, we are actually medicore at best.

Recruiting and developing are also part of being a college coach.
Yep. So Pellum in his second year isn't going to be held responsible for the recruiting shortcomings of players at other positions when he was a position coach. Hence why I brought up the pass that Neal has been getting.
