I went to college as well, and in a bastion of liberal beliefs, introspective thought as to what you believe and why, your hopes and dreams for your future, and learning about other people's experiences.

The truth is that everyone just assumes that there are no differing opinions, because how could anyone NOT be a Democrat? I saw a lot of circle-jerks and very little discussion. These kids don't want to hear different opinions or open their minds. They want their "safe space" where they can bash on those uneducated, hateful Republicans.

It got to the point where I wouldn't open my mouth because these people are extremely emotional about their beliefs.

My english teacher made us do a research paper and her "example" was a paper about the wage gap for women. She claimed an ex student wrote it but you could just tell it was hers. So naturally i did mine on discrediting the wage gap and she was fucking livid. I stated in the thesis that there is no legitimate wage gap and had some pretty good supportive research. She wrote above my thesis "but there is a wage gap" so i called her out in class. And she said i was making baseless claims. But i had an entire research paper that said otherwise and she had a sentence?

The big one with the glasses looked like me after a lobotomy. He was sitting next to the cute girl who didn't find anything funny. I feel terrible for them if that is how programmed they are becoming.

we got into a heated e-mail exchange and i did say something to the effect of i expect to get a 17% grade advantage over my female class mates. it was good times. i copied the final exchange to my adviser and i ended up getting a B

Or perhaps people want to mind their own fucking business sometimes and let others stand up for themselves. I didn't see the video but am offering an alternate POV. Not every single life situation needs a god damned baby sitter.
