What's your prediction?

I'm gonna go with my heart, because I want you guys to kick their ass... but my mind says LSU will win by a FG.

Ducks - 34
LSU - 31

Oregon - 35
LSU- 27

I thought LSU was overrated last year, so I think we'll have a pretty good chance of knocking them off.

UO 28
LSU 21

LSU's defense will be too tough for you.

LSU 20
UO 10

I will do an avatar wager with you, that Oregon scores more than 10 points.

That's fucking laughable.... We hung 19 on Auburn and the Tigers were able to score 24 against LSU last season. I don't see any reason why we won't be able to score on them. It's a matter of whether we will be able to stop them.

Don't know enough about LSU! I think we score 42 points though.

well that certainly seems more plausible than LSU holding Oregon to 10 points :)

LSU is expected to have the best defense in the country this year. I think it's likely that they hold Oregon to 10 points or less.

Willing to back that up with an avatar bet or not?

lol didnt think so.

UO 28
LSU 17

LSU's defense has a habit of starting slow. Oregon is not the team to make defensive mistakes with. In addition, LSU isn't supposed to have much of a QB and they will be hard pressed to deal with our defensive speed.

Lets see, fast track (turf) favors the speed team, Les vs Chip, their QB sucks... I'll be conservative

38-24 Ducks

STOMP

So are you going to bet me on who wins?

I'm not the one backing down after running my mouth. Who wins is a flip of the coin... no real knowledge or insight on either team is needed for that. If I'm gonna bet, its not gonna be on something lame like that. Back up your spouting off, You say Oregon scores 10 points I say 35, the middle is 22.5 and I'll even spot you the extra .5 ... If the Ducks score 23 or less I sport an avatar of your choice for a month, and a sig of your choice. Oregon scores 24 or more against the best defense in the country this year, you do the same. I know as a Beaver fan you may be used to lower stakes such as Sun Bowls and Vegas bowls, etc, but I'm used to a lot more being on the line than that.

You game?

I would have made him stick to his 10 point spread. There's no chance in hell of the Ducks scoring that few points and he knows it. He was just talking shit and got his ass called out, now he won't back it up.

LSU should have a solid defense this year. Their offense, well... Two changeups with offensive coordinators, a QB with 7 TD's and 10 INTs last season. Everyone says what a running threat he is, yet he averaged 3.7 yards per rush and had less rushing yards (FAR less passing yards) than Thomas. They lost their best RB. Their OL is often described as big and nasty, but Oregon matches up just fine. Their DL often over-attacks, and most of us know what Oregon does in that situation. Their LB's are a weak-link with average pursuit and open field tackling. James, Barner and Thomas are going to pose some tough matchup issues and I except Paulson to have a field day.

Keeping in mind this is an offense that is new at key positions and last year, scored 27 on Vandy, 16 vs Tenn (and should have lost).

I think it's lower scoring than expected....

Oregon 25
LSU 20

Although I don't usually bet over/unders I will make an exception in this case. You're on. No way the Ducks score 24 against LSU in Cowboys Stadium.

:) I'm ok with the 24, he knows he was talking crap and got called out for it, and challenged (and probably offended at the stakes comment) But I got his attention and the bet

still  you Tlong :)

Would be interested to see what you guys predicted for the Auburn game. Just to see your credibility when it comes to this stuff. I actually thought we would lose to Auburn, but in a 42-40 kinda' game.

Thinking back, I don't believe I made a prediction because I didn't want to jinx it. Making predictions about meaningless games is one thing, but making predictions about the championship game is a whole different story.
