This is one of the biggest factors:

The fast pace tires defenses more than the Oregon offense. Oregon has outscored opponents 128-13 in the second half; this is the most impressive blur offense stat. Playing defense is more tiring than playing offense because the offensive man knows where he's going, wasting no physical or mental energy.

One thing that the article doesn't mention is that Chip Kelly has balls of steel. His playcalling & game management is the #1 reason why the Ducks have a chance to play in the national championship. He's got a great feel for the game & truly believes in the offense & isn't afraid to take chances & go for the jugular.
 
He can be a tad bit stubborn sometimes though, and that worries me. I love the offense, I've watched and counted...... they on average snap the ball 15 seconds after the last play was blown dead! Simply amazing!
