Checked the net worth of Patricia Arquett finding it to be 24 million dollars. Pretty damn nice salaries she's been getting. This crap of actors learning and reciting lines applicable to movie scripts does not make the "experts" on all aspects Americana. I am not now nor have I ever been a huge movie buff and if I write what I really felt about the "Hollywood Elite" I'd be banned from this board.

Right from the beginning prior to the telecast when guys like Sharpton was causing an uproar that no black actors were nominated this year I knew someone would make it political. In this case it was the host who I happen to like & is very talented when he said (taking a stab at humor) "Tonight we honor Hollywood's best & whitest, I mean brightest stars". How quickly they forget that last year 12 years a slave was nominated for 9 academy awards & even took the #1 prize of best picture. I guess unless this is a yearly occurrence the race card gets played. Its a damn shame that after 50 fucking years this kind of shit is still being kept alive.

Hollywood is so far to the left that Eastwood and a war movie wasn't going to get much attention by the academy.

I'm not sure to call it a effed up Screen Writers Guild and Union, or a fkd up Academy Panel of Judges, may be both. Sure seems like the Awards are going to hell faster in the last decade, than in all previous ones. Hell, soon they won't mean a damned thing to the viewers. I see its already growing in that direction. American Sniper being a true story, snubbed, Eastwood, as Great or more so of a Director than a Epic Actor.

Oh I'm sure GBH is quirky and funny, just as Birdman is compelling and riveting. I'm also sure Whiplash and Foxcatcher are great character studies.

But in term of AS getting 1 of 5....I think there were a few nominations that film didn't even receive. Its pretty apparent that the academy cares little about what the public wants to watch...they prefer to advocate a different agenda.
