Trey Burke!!! Hell of a comeback!

Johnson missing that free-throw is a bit of karma for that punk nutshot on McGary in the first two minutes of the game.

Hail, to the victors valiant! Hail, to the conquering Heros. HAIL HAIL!!!!

Is Trey Burke going to play in the NBA?

Of course, question is how well will his game translate? There's been a lot of great but tiny PGs in college, the trouble is its hard to predict if they'll be starting caliber or if they'll struggle. Is he going to be a Ty Lawson, Mike Conley, Isiah Thomas, Jameer Nelson or is he going to be Johnny Flynn, DJ Augustin, Kemba Walker, etc?

BTW, a tiny PG once led the NBA in scoring and assists during the same season.

NONE of those PG's mentioned can shoot the 3ball as well as Burke though

Not coming out of college maybe. That said, a lot of the successful small PGs today have elite quickness. Dunno if I'd put Burke in that category.

I really like Burke, I'm having trouble thinking of a better player that I've seen in the NCAA this year. Just saying its hard to predict his success because hes tiny and not incredibly athletic. I've seen him make some great passes but hes not really a pure pass first PG. There's a lot to love about his game and I think hes absolutely an NBA player, just won't go as far as saying hes a lock to be a starter. Plenty of really good college PGs struggle with the size of the NBA.

I'm aware, but that was 40 years ago. Small PGs can still do great in the league, just look at CP3 and Tony Parker among a host of others, but at the same time you've got a lot of big ass PGs and a lot of freak of nature PGs that weren't around when Tiny was dominating.

Hey, if JJ Barea can thrive in the NBA...

Too bad about Michigan State, though.
