wow. CHI's been wanting a low post player forever. Al Jeff's legit.

Ruins my pipe dream of somehow getting Kevin Love, but oh well.

It says the Bulls made that offer.

No fuckin way Minny accepts that.

QUESTION: Chicago papers are reporting that the Bulls have offered up Deng for Al Jefferson. Have you heard anything on that front?

CHAD FORD's RESPONSE
That's the type of deal that makes sense basketball wise for both teams. Wolves would get Deng and Tyrus Thomas. Bulls would finally get a low post presence. But if you take David Kahn at his word, he said he's not trading Jefferson this year.

ESPN

Last week, we told you it was believed the Bulls were exploring interest in Luol Deng.

Unlike rumored deals for Kirk Hinrich or John Salmons that would be used to clear salary, a Deng trade could bring back some talent instead.

Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald writes this today: "The Bulls haven't given up on using Luol Deng to try to pry power forward Al Jefferson from Minnesota. Jefferson could be the low-post scoring threat the team has lacked or, in theory, be sent to Toronto for Chris Bosh in a summer sign-and-trade."

Jefferson could be a nice second option for the Bulls up front if they are unable to acquire Bosh, Carlos Boozer or David Lee this summer.

As ESPN's Chad Ford notes, a Jefferson-for-Deng swap makes sense for both teams, but Minnesota GM David Kahn has stated Jefferson isn't on the market.
