...I am convinced, the playoffs are going to be as rigged as the dunk contest!!! Let the David Stern conspiracies continue!!! I said it months ago...the NBA will make sure that it is Kobe vs. LeBron this year!!! :sigh:

*the OTL topic is highligting Kobe and LeBron and who is going to be the superstar torch bearer for the post Jordan NBA...

What in the hell are you talking about? Care to share any supporting evidence?

Got your tin-foil hat a little too "securely fastened," or what? :devilwink:

Rigging will not be necessary to produce this matchup.

Well, they are on the two best teams in the league, so it wouldn't be a huge shock if it happened. Oh, conspiracy theories...

Or maybe it has to do with of the top 2 talents in the NBA right now.. how will be the torchbearer... and it just so happens that they both ARE the #1 seeds, and probably best teams. :dunno:

i didnt catch the episode but i dont think it's a conspiracy that the NBA influences games via the referees. it's pretty transparent.

cases in point:
1. Tim Donaghy was not the lone gunman
2. the Mavs/Heat series. the biggest load of crap i've ever seen.

Either one of them can be a "torchbearer" without winning an NBA title. And even IF the NBA wanted one of them to win the title this year, do you actually think David Stern has told the ESPN announcers what to say?

I'm sorry, but this is a Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs kind of idea you have.

...I prefer Cocoa Pebbles :ohno:

Game 7, Sac/LAL was the worst example I've ever seen. It almost made me a believer.

...actually, it is plastic cereal bowl!!! :drumroll:

Oh, man... I've never heard of this new, ground-breaking technique in thought-control prevention! MUST TRY IMMEDIATELY!

*heads to the kitchen*

You've written Boston off before the first playoff game?

I know that I have...w/out KG, there chances are slim to none...even GM Ainge had a heart attack when he heard the news of KG missing the post-season [sorry...bad reference]

He was an asshole this season, and in seasons past, now he's out. You didn't reply as to whether you've given up on your team before the playoffs.

Dang, how's this for irony?

Blazer fans are devoted to 'class', yet laugh in the face of injuries to players. Contradictions FTW.

No I think they're going to win every game they play in by at least 70 points.

I don't think every series is rigged, or even every year in the playoffs. I don't think the NBA will need to rig jack shit for a Kobe/LeBron finals. Outside of Portland getting there, that is the series I want to see. It just so happens that the Lakers and Cavs are the two best teams on Earth right now.

I do think the NBA has arranged certain things to go their way. The Miami/Dallas series is the one that I almost stopped watching the NBA over. It was a joke.

Please point to where I laughed about his injury, or stfu. Thanks.

As usual, unless you are pinned down to yes or no, you avoid answering anything. I"m thinking you're wrong on your prediction, but at least you're not the bandwagoner fan you appeared to be from your first statement.

Oh. I should said 'trivializing' instead of laughing, or just simply said that you think that certain players deserve their injuries, thereby shattering the emphasis that most Blazer fans put on 'class'.

Yes I've given up hope that the Celtics can go further than the 2nd round, provided the Sixers don't upset Orlando.

THAT WUZ HAHD.

Thanks for admitting that you just make shit up. I didn't trivialize anything, either. Just implied that karma bit him in the ass for being the jerk he is. If you think that's no class....bfd.

Ah no it waz, bhut u kan du it wen u tri.

A bit sensitive about this Garnett thing huh?
Because I don't wish injury on players or revel in joy when one gets injured?

I direct more hate toward fanbases rather than actual teams/players.

lol

You think KG is a jerk, so you think he deserves his injury. That displays an extreme lack of class from a member of a fanbase that seems to put a special emphasis on class. You keep proving this point with every post you make.

you can always count on the "boston guy" to be looking for a fight. i only thought i was applicable in person, but i guess their toughness just bleeds over into e-fights.

How dare I come in here and expose someone for being classless for being happy about another player's injury.

People with no class don't care if other people have no class. I honestly wouldn't care if KG got run over by a truck. I've always thought he was one of the most arrogant assholes around. But after seeing him get down on his hands and knees in a NBA game to taunt other players, I've grown to really despise him.

I'm actually happy that mother fucker got injured. I hope he eats shit and dies.
