In a perfect world, no one would need or own firearms for non-sporting purposes. However, the word isn't perfect and gun laws are difficult and contentious. While I respect your opinion on gun control, I would like to keep this thread on topic and would rather not have the thread dissolve into a debate between "Imagine no guns" groups and "Shall not infringe" groups.

So, back to Landry, poor guy. Kinda wanted him in free agency.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here (no pun intended) and guess that if someone is firing a gun in a fast food drive-through at 1:30 in the morning, the gun isn't registered or at least not in a name that can be traced back to them.

Whether the killer uses a gun or a salad fork or a hammer or a Louisville Slugger, he/she will kill because that's what they do.

No disrespect intended, but what makes you think outlawing guns would get rid of them? Marijuana is illegal, cocaine is illegal, meth is illegal..... prostitution is illegal.... gambling is illegal..... The only people who wouldn't have guns are the people who actually abide by the laws, not the people you have been reading about.
