Bet he wishes he would have given up Batum in the deal now.

I guess they thought better of Cho in the Wallace deal than we did.

Weird.

I guess trading for the #9 pick in this years draft is out the window.

Saves the Blazers having to pay the rest of his contract.

Is Larry Miller the next to leave Portland? MJ wouldn't hire Cho w/out Miller's stamp of approval.

Bert Kolde for GM!!!

Larry Miller and MJ are very close. Larry must have said good things to MJ about Cho.

Good for him. Let's see what he can do with a less mercurial owner.

Larry Miller was the president at Nike I believe. So, if he were to go to Charlotte it would not surprise me.

The guy who drafted Kwame, hated Bulls owner Reinsdorf, and was way too tough on the young guys when he played with the Bullets.

That article shoots down the urban legend that it was Miller, not Cho that brokered the Wallace trade with Charlotte. The trade is mentioned several times in the article and Larry Miller's name isn't mentioned once. Cho is given credit multiple times for engineering the Wallace trade - by the guy who was on the other end of the phone when the trade happened.

Exactly. I think the Blazers made a big mistake firing the guy. Big mistake.

Well, one thing's for sure, they made a mistake. They either made a mistake when they hired him or when they fired him. Giving a guy a 3 year contract, and praising him for his great people skills, and then firing him 10 months later because he doesn't communicate well is a major fuck up.

I think this hire is confirmation that Paul Allen simply didn't click with the guy; that it had nothing to do with his job performance. Larry Miller probably talked to Jordan and told him that Cho was a good guy who got a raw deal. I doubt Cho gets hired by Jordan (who is close to Miller) if Miller didn't give RC a glowing reference.

Honestly, if you believe the team, they made two mistakes. They made a mistake hiring him, and then they made a bigger one by firing the guy so quickly. I don't care if Paul Allen had a personality conflict with the guy, if he was good at his job then you deal with it. Cho wasn't hired to be Paul's friend. He wasn't hired to take Paul out to dinner and read bedtime stories to him. He was hired because he has a great mind for basketball and is good at his job. How many people do you dislike in your workplace or dislike their personality but respect their work? I'm tired of Paul's ego. He may be the caretaker of the Portland Trail Blazers, but the team belongs to the city of Portland. The Blazers were here years before he drug his ass down from Washington and they'll be here years after. I honestly can't wait for the Paul Allen era to end.

Larry Miller must of put in a good word to his good buddy MJ.

^Posted that before reading any other posts.

But seriously, its true. Cho got a raw deal, Paul Allen is a knee-jerk owner that can lick my balls.

One badass move by MJ. Gets the guy that killed him in the Crash trade.
