A former member of the Dallas Mavericks male dance team killed four people and wounded at least four more with guns and a grenade Wednesday night, police said, according to multiple media reports.

Erbie Bowser, a 44-year-old who was known as E-Luv with the Mavs ManiAACs as recently as 2011, shot and killed Toya Smith, 43, and her 17-year-old daughter Tasmia Allen and injured two more in a Dallas home around 10:30 p.m. CT Wednesday night, police said.

Smith is believed to have been Bowser's former girlfriend, according to multiple media reports.

According to police, Bowser then drove to the home of his ex-wife Zina Till in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto. He threw a grenade into the house and after it detonated he entered the home and began shooting. Two women were killed and two boys, aged 11 and 13, were wounded, police told multiple media outlets. Bowser then ran out of ammunition. It is not clear if Till was one of the victims in the second shooting. According to reports, a 3-year-old was removed from the DeSoto home unharmed.

When police arrived at the DeSoto house, Bowser pretended to be one of the victims. According to reports, he gave police his name, rank and serial number. Police said that Bowser has tattoos that indicate he was a member of the Army Rangers; however, a 2008 application for divorce says that neither party was a member of the armed forces.

Now there's someone who shouldn't have had easy access to weapons of any sort (or any access to be honest).

i'm always so disappointed when these freaks don't kill themselves afterward or get killed by cops. Now we have to hear about through his trial and then again when its time to strap him down zap him.

Did he learn these skills in the Army?

Odd, I'm disappointed these fuckers don't kill themselves first.

Why would you want them to kill themselves? Wouldn't it be better if the dude rots in prison without parole? I think instant death would be an easy out; unless you believe there is a hell and they will burn in a torment of fire for all eternity.

Did Jesus believe that? Or did he oppose people like you?

Ooh, I don't know...so the mom and her 17 year old daughter weren't killed, those two other women weren't killed, and those young boys weren't injured?

I thought julius meant they should kill themselves before going on their killing spree, thereby preventing the loss of innocent lives.

So what's the decision? I need to know fast! Hurry, I'm not going to wait!

Oh I misread your comment. I thought they killed themselves after their slaughter. Yeah I can get your point if they did this before they went batshit crazy

What is this world coming to? Mavs dancer goes on killing spree and Miss Utah contestant throws bombs (side issue but funny how ordinary "beauty queens" look without the professional makeup and hair styling).

You mean you would infringe on a misinterpretation of his second amendment right to keep and bear granades? How dare you.

Wanna bet that this dude was on Prozac or similar drug (SSRI's)?

One of the most underreported news stories of the last 20 years is that there is a black box warning on these drugs that in "rare" instances the drugs can cause suicidal and violent feelings.

To what extent do SSRIs increase the risk of suicide or violent behavior? Recent data indicate that some SSRIs lack a favorable 'risk-benefit' profile for treating childhood and adolescent depression. In addition, certain recent documents have cast doubt on previous conclusions dissociating antidepressant from violence. Beyond the debate on the need for improved transparency in clinical studies, this controversy raises other critical issues of SSRI use that merit our consideration. Firstly, is there an overuse of antidepressants, and does the risk of suicide increase with the prescription of antidepressants in the whole population? Secondly, is the response to antidepressants modified during adolescence? If so, by what mechanisms? We know that SSRI treatment can trigger mood changes in undiagnosed young bipolar patients resulting in agitation and disinhibition, and such effects may lead to suicide and violence.

There was a Texan cheerleader a while back who caused a LOT more deaths than that.

How much do you have to detest your newborn to name him 'Erbie'.?

Or perhaps he was named after one of Beezlebub's offspring.

Right?

Perhaps, it was Herbie, without the erbonics factor.

Well, he was 44. I don't know too many in that generation named Herb.

Very well could have been an erbonic break down.
