Well I guess that all depends on which next small market team the NBA decides it needs to rape talent out of in order to get crazy TV ratings somewhere else.

If so, he's a player I would target- big time. In fact, so long as Oden is healthy we're a D-Williams away from playing for a title.

Best PG in the league!

I agree in many ways. The one thing I give Williams over the rest of them, is his combination of size and physicality with the rest of his play. There are few other PG, that have the tools he has physically, to play the game.

Yes, because what is best for the NBA, and what they want is to have 26 failing franchises, and 4 successful ones. Gimme a fucking break, the whining over the league setting shit like this up is just getting too pathetic. Yes, it's all a big conspiracy to destroy the league. Good theory.

They have revenue sharing. There is no need for the other teams to perform well. All they have to do, is provide games for them to televise. You never see shit like this happen in the NFL. Only in baseball and basketball.

We are the last team in the league that Utah would trade with. I suspect there's some hard feelings after the Millsap and Matthews deals.

Probably a pipe dream, but damn.....DWill would look real nice in a Blazer uniform!

It's like the Blazers were 'messing with Sasquatch' for two straight summers, only the Sasquatch never fought back. Utah wont be doing Portland any favors.

Never see shit like what happening in the NFL? Guys demanding more money, holding out, etc.? They don't give a shit about being traded to a winner, they just want more guaranteed cash. That's better than a guy wanting to win? I forgot, he NFL can do no wrong. Hard cap and unguaranteed deals are the way to go.

I'd trade anyone on the Lakers for him except Bryant and Gasol. Bynum, Vujacic, Artest, and Odom, for Williams, Jefferson, and Milsap.

LAKERS : Williams/Kobe/Barnes/Gasol/Jefferson, JAZZ : Price/Bell/Artest/Odom/Bynum

Lakers lock up the next 5 championships and Blazers get a young center to build around in Bynum.

We don't need D-Will, we didn't draft Armon "Hammer" Johnson for nothing

Damn, and Lakers fans call us homers? That deal SUCKS for the Jazz.

Go Blazers

Actually, it seems like that's exactly what's happening. 4 Globetrotters and 26 Washington Generals. Casual NBA Fans love superteams. Ratings for games involving them are astronomical compared to games between other teams. So why isn't it in the best interest of a revenue-sharing league to promote this type of situation? The league isn't being destroyed by this, it only seems that way to a fan of the teams that aren't in the "elite".
