It was fucking hilarious. Much funnier to hear from him than to read but here it is in response to a question of whether or not he regrets his comment that Cleveland sucks:

"Not at all," he said defiantly. "You like it? You think Cleveland is cool? I've never heard anyone say, ‘I'm going to Cleveland on vacation.’ What's so good about Cleveland?"

LOL!!

Reminds me of.....

“To tell the truth, I’m not excited to go to Cleveland, but we have to,” Ichiro said through an interpreter. “If I ever saw myself saying I’m excited going to Cleveland, I’d punch myself in the face, because I’m lying.”

I feel for the city. It's getting shat on for no good reason.

Does Noah realize how sad it is that the only reason people are talking about him is because of his comments and NOT his play on the court?

Ever been? There's a reason.

I have a buddy who lives in arguably the nicest neighborhood in Cleveland and it's still pretty poor. I think what kills people from NE Ohio is that Chicago in the Midwest is the cultural and financial capital of the region, so it's like someone from the L*kers slamming Sacramento or SLC.

Are you talking outside the cleveland area? Cause Beachwood and that city with Crocker Park mall are pretty well off.

A bad selection of words on my part. By "poor" I meant "lame" rather than "economically not well off". And my buddy lives in Cleveland Heights near Case Western Reserve. A beautiful neighborhood, an unbelievable house, but still not quite as nice as you would expect a neighborhood like that to be.

Probably cause Case and Cleveland Heights are both surrounded on all sides by the ghetto.

Noah's play on the court was pretty good in game 2

I get it. I have friends from Shaker Heights, and it's nice, too. There are plenty of nice places in NE Ohio. My point is that Cleveland is one of the poorest, most depressed, fattest cities in the country. It's too bad, because it could be a pretty cool place if it ever underwent a renaissance. Unfortunately, it's more Detroit than St. Louis.

Black Mamba (and Kingspeed), thanks for the videos.

My friends in Cincinnati will love it.

It's odd, many cities in Ohio (Columbus being a prime example), anyone know why Cleveland isn't booming?

many cities what exactly? Doing OK I presume? Columbus is a college town, Cleveland is a dying rust belt city with an industrial base that no longer exists. :dunno:

My bad, I meant doing well.

And I remember driving my GF to Beachwood so she can visit her family and I swear to God, as I was driving past Cleveland and a few other sketchy neighbourhoods it felt like I was in an impoverished Eastern European country. There was one big neighbourhood I passed nearby with no roadlines, or islands, and everyone looked homeless just passing through traffic with grocery carts even with ongoing traffic, panhandling and sleeping by the street. It was creepy.

As much as I dislike Noah, that was pretty funny.

My dad went to Cleveland years ago (like 25-30) and said it was the ugliest city he'd ever seen. Granted that was a long time ago, but from the sound of things it hasn't gotten any better.
