Notice Kevin Love as a Trail Blazer Just Makes Sense

The high/low post synergy that Nurk/Love would have is too great to ignore.

On this end of the court there really isn't a better PF fit than Love.

He's only 28 and just now entering his prime. Time to pounce, Neil!

Where's @bodyman5000 and 1 at??? Dude, these guys are stalkin on your girl....
Hiding my girl in a Kevin Love thread as if I'm going to see it. Lame.

I know she wouldn't do it but if she told me to murder everyone who said they liked her for one kiss on the cheek I'd be in a Netflix documentary in no time.

So back off

Uh yeah, one play against an injured Curry. Very persuasive. I guess teams that targeted him all year very successfully forgot about that Youtube moment.

One play. Yep one play with the chip on the line. An injured Curry you say? Love got a concussion in game 2 and gutted out the rest of the series.

He actually had a better playoffs this year than last. If they decide to match up with the Warriors and go small with PG or Butler, I wouldn't blame them. But they will really miss his rebounding and quick outlets for the break.

Yes, I wrote a post earlier about how I felt this forum was underrating Love. I think he's a good player--just not a good defender, especially against the pick-and-roll.

Watching Love get 34 points in one quarter reminds me how poor Stotts defensive scheme is. Poor rotations, bad close-outs, terrible spacing. I player (Nurkic) does not change all of that.

Funny thing is I remember Love getting put in that same situation this year as last.
But unlike last year Curry didn't settle for a 3. He attacked the rim and scored.
He learned from his mistakes in the 2016 finals.

So seriously someone wrote an article about a Crabbe for Love trade? And on top of it he is asking other people's opinions? Seriously there is something wrong going on in this guy's brain.

Pretty typical for Blazersedge....

It's not about defending post-ups. It's about the fact that, like the Warriors did to the Cavaliers, opposing teams will put Love's man in the pick-and-roll and force him to navigate those over and over and Love is pretty awful out in space.

Having three major defensive minuses, especially against the pick-and-roll, isn't really tenable.

How many PFs in the league can do that? And at the end of the game, what's the real +/- on the scoreboard from that? Because Love also affects the game positively with his shooting, passing and rebounding.

Nurk + Love is a rebounding nightmare for other teams. Love's a crafty passer and gives the Blazers a needed floor spacer. I'm sick of seeing Harkless brick 3s at the 4 spot.
& yet last year's stats reveal Love as a 37% 3 point shooter while Moe was 35%.

As others have noted, Love continues to be abused on D... there is good reason he's on the block. 22.6M in misspent capspace next season for bloated stats and a feel meh story of oft injured hometown kid reluctantly coming home... no thanks! I bet he follows his heart & ends up a Clipper someday

And Lillard shoots 37%. You cannot compare high volume to low volume guys just by quoting %s.

I can and I did. What comparing their 3 pnt % showed is that Moe isn't quite the bricker that the poster claimed. Personally I think comparing Love's 3 point shots (where he is usually set up in the corner following penetration) to Dame's (where he is often shooting under duress off the dribble as the 24 second clock expires) is laughable.

Did I mention Love sucks on D and wants to be in LA?

Apparently the Suns are willing to trade the 4th pick for love.

I wonder if Cleveland not having a GM now will blow that amazing deal/amazing Suns mistake.

Ok if you are offered Love for Crabbe say no. Jesus christ no wonder why this team hasn't seen a championship for 40 years. Too attached to our shitty assets.

If it were a straight swap that would be fine. Adding 1st rounders for Love would be a mistake, IMO. We'd certainly be a better regular season team, but it wouldn't do anything to improve our post-season success. Also, I think Vonleh's defense is more beneficial to our roster than Love's offense would be.

Coz the 15th pick will end up being better than a 4 time all star player and this will happen in Dame's and CJ's prime? Yes if we are targeting 2022 I agree don't do it.

Ridiculous post. #1 The posters here and I continue not to be consulted on the franchise's decision making. #2 Not liking Kevin Love for the reasons I've stated has absolutely nothing to do with the club's other assets. #3 I was one of the only posters here who was adamantly against matching NJ's FA offer for Crabbe and I've aired my disdain for having him on the books at his over the top current price many times over the past year. Thanks for the stupid.
