Why would you ever give away a first round pick to sign a coach?

Unless we're talking about gregg popovich or phil jackson, no other coach today is worth losing a team asset like a pick over (on top of 7mil per year).

They get to 100% keep CP3 now instead of dealing with the circus this summer. Worth a #1 pick that would be in the high twentys.
