I didn't watch the game, but NY had the ball down by 2 with 6 seconds left (that was after Utah just made a basket) . . . so yeah, NY had a chance to win this.

Wow. I know Ginobli should be included in terms of big three when it comes to SA. For some reason I think of SA and mainly think Duncan and Parker. I don't know if it because they don't start him, he was injured last year or what . . . but looking at those stats and the win tonight, I've got to think of SA in terms of the big three . . . and a very well coached and disciplined team.

No surprise here. When you can't rebound and don't defend, you are going to lose a lot of games. The Raptors shot the ball amazingly well (0.592 FG% and 0.647 3FG%) and still lost. Why? Simple: they were out rebounded 41-29 and gave up 131 points to a Spurs team that was missing Duncan and Parker. The Bryan Colangelo all-offense experiment is already failing in Toronto. This is the 3rd time in the last 5 games that they've given up 125 or more points (all losses, of course). They even gave up 115 points to the Grizzlies (another loss).

They were a poor defending, weak rebounding team last year. So, what did Colangelo do? He let their best defender and second best rebounder go, and replaced him with yet another weak rebounding poor defending perimeter player. The result is to be expected.

I hate Ginobili. He drives to the generally area of the hoop, falls on purpose, and gets the call almost every time. Parker does this as well. I know stars get calls but no one else I have seen fakes getting fouled to the extent that they do. Just one of the reasons I hate the Spurs.

You'd love Ginobli if he played for your team. I think a lot of people forgot about this guy after his injury-plagued season last year.

I was mildly surprised the Spurs won tonight. I looked at the Box Score in the 3rd quarter and Toronto was shooting 60% and the Spurs 38%, and the Spurs were up by 2. Then I looked to see if Toronto had a bunch of turnovers (which they didn't) Then I looked at FT's made, and the Spurs had a few more. 3 Pointers made was about even. I wasn't watching the game, so I couldn't figure out how the Spurs were winning. I guess 16 Offensive Rebounds helps a little! I missed that little stat.

They are so well coached. How many games would the Blazers win w/o Roy & Aldridge? I bet that the Spurs would be .500 or slightly above w/o Timmy and Parker. We would probably be 32-50 w/o Roy and Lamarcus.

Will we? I am not so sure. At worst, we will see what Greg looks like if he IS the focus of the offense.

From what I see from Greg so far - I have to tell you that I would not be surprised if he became an offensive force if you force-feed him the ball in the post.

I don't think people necessarily forget about him, I just think most assume he will be injured at some point during the season. At his age, and the wreckless style he plays, he will continue to be ever more prone to injury. Anyone who falls down so damn much is bound to get hurt sooner or later. At his age, the next fall could be a broken hip. I just can't see him playing as effectively with a walker, but he might get even more sympathy calls from the refs.

I agree that people don't forget about him, and I personally think that his contributions have been overrated throughout his career. He has only played more than 30 mpg once in his career, and while he's produced while he's on the floor he can't be counted on for more than that, even when he's "healthy".
