Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar, who hurt his left knee last week against the Miami Heat, underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair a torn lateral meniscus, according to a team release.

The surgery, which took approximately 30 minutes, was performed by Dr. Clarence Shields of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Group.

Team doctor Steve Lombardo examined Farmar on Monday in Los Angeles and confirmed the injury.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson, quoted in The Los Angeles Times, is expecting Farmar back around the Feb. 15 All-Star Game.

PG...we dont need no stinking PG!

Hybrid offense in effect! Triangle doesnt need a true PG, just somebody to brng the ball up the floor and start it. Sasha and Ariza are competing for those minutes.

Kobe, Sasha, Ariza, LO, Bynum

LO, Kobe, Vlad, Pau, Bynum

crazy stuff but it was kickin ass last night

He gonna get those silly-looking ears pinned back while he's at it? :dunno:

Hope he gets better soon. Seems like a nice player.
