OT: Funny stat line

You're wrong. Aldridge didn't get into foul trouble until the 3rd quarter when he picked up two quick offensive fouls to go with the two total fouls he had in the first half. By the time he picked up his 3rd foul, 2nd offensive, he was 1-7 and already having a bad game.

Aldridge had 3 offensive fouls against Magette, one of which was in the first quarter, where he picked up 2 fouls. I don't think Magette's flopping were a product of Aldridge playing poorly. I think the flopping, and the way that game was refereed, explains Aldridge's dismal showing.

Plus, how was Aldridge 1-7 when he ended up the game at 2-7?

Nothing. No one said it did. I believe this is what you call a strawman.

The point of this thread is Maggette's unusual stat line (0-2 FG, 17-20 FT and 17 points in 13 min). HCP incorrectly stated that Maggette shoots a lot of FTs because he's a flopper and cited the Aldridge example. To which Ed correctly pointed you don't get to shoot FTs by flopping and drawing offensive fouls.

Strawman. No one in this thread has said anything to the contrary. So, who are you arguing with?

The poster that I addressed and quoted. Hint - it wasn't you.

Thanks. Unfortunately, this forum tends to be dominated by a very small minority of posters who are blatant trolls, drama queens and attention whores. I find them to be an intolerable waste of my time. So, I don't post much any more.

Well, let's see here. You already fucked up a statistic from that game, and then you fucked up who I addressed in a post. I'm not the drama queen in this exchange. Get over yourself and stop whining about "attention whores" and such. You've been as bad as anybody else with your anger-driven rants directed at posters when your errors are pointed out to you.

There's going to be those people in every segment of society. Ignore them and post.

Take your own advice:

"Section VII--Offensive Fouls
A personal foul assessed against an offensive player which is neither an elbow, punching or flagrant foul shall be penalized in the following manner:
(1) No points can be scored by the offensive team
(2) The offending player is charged with a personal foul
(3) The offending team is not charged with a team foul
EXCEPTION: Rule 3--Section I--a. No penalty free throws are awarded.
(4) The ball is awarded to the offended team out-of-bounds on the sideline at the nearest spot where play was interrupted but no nearer the baseline than the free throw line extended "

The ONLY time FTs are awarded on an offensive foul is if it's a flagrant foul.

Listen bitch, I was joking, relax! And I know for a fact that LA was called a bunch of times for an offensive foul while Maggette was guarding him. LA would be bangin on him in the post and Magg would flop, over and over and pick up the foul.

Maybe it wasn't last year, but I could have sworn there was a game recently in Golden State where Maggette drew something like 2 or 3 offensive fouls on LMA, or at least completely shut him down and frustrated him into a terrible game.

It was last season.
