Thanx for posting these threads on a reg. monthly basis with the notes too.

I enjoy these, makes us realize the actors/famous peeps, are sooo much older than we think....Hoffman 77 shit fire....thought he was perhaps, 70....

did you know when Hoffman came to NY to find work as an actor, he slept on Gene Hackman's small Apt. Kitchen Floor, under the Table, no shit, I saw an interview with both, and they confirmed as much. Even the great Actors got to go thru hard times, if they are ever discovered or not...

Sitting Bull, I know joined Will Bill Cody's Traveling Western Carny. with a young Annie Oakley in his side show too. Sitting Bull made some money as a freak of nature to the non-savage assholes. (50 Bucks a week, to ride each night, once around the ring in his regala). Disgruntled by the crowds jeering treatment of him as a savage, he retired back to his people. The Sioux began the "Ghosts Dance" which freaked out the Army/Govt. When police officers went to his home to arrest him, he was dragged outside, and ran, then shot...as he said: "I'd would rather die an Indian than live a white man," he famously said.

I know Crazy Horse, was also shot n killed trying to escape, from his imprisonment in the Dakota's dungeonous jails. Crazy Horse, or any Native Indian used to living off the land, would like myself, go effing crazy behind bars, and did, thus his breakout, knowing death by gun would be better than death behind bars.

Sitting Bull (Totanka Yotanka, his real name)-

BTW-Sitting Bull was interviewed for one book, definitely worth the read, the title of the same name....another fabulous read, even better, is "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"......

Now, that's the History lessons for the day/month,
So-
Rick
-ya' got to help me put the heat on Tote, for those Bonus Points, for the History Lessons if not the quick turn around times...before Ron eats my Lunch when he returns.....LOL....

Yeah I could see where posting the ages of some of these actors could make one feel old. I mean I was a big fan of Mannix (Mike Conners) And I grew up watching the Dick van Dyke show (Rose Marie) AKA Miss Sally Rodgers. And Barbara Eden, "I dream of Jeannie". And my dear friend Valarie Harper (Rhoda / Mary Tyler Moore show). Not to mention that I had a mad crush on Connie Stevens growing up.

We shared much the same TV-Movie pleasures, ie, the same likes as kids...no doubt, a Golden Era, tho' our kids may not think so, with their fandangled new age technology....!
