OT: Hinrich to Washington

I believe so yes, although I'm unsure why Washington wants three players who are really point guards.

Perhaps they found someone to take Arenas.

I don't think two max guys will be going to Washington, regardless of whether they have the ability to do so.

EDIT: Related...Wall, Arenas, and Hinrich? Interesting.

I meant for CHI

I don't think they've found a taker for Arenas, but I also don't think I'd call that 3 point guards. Gil is really a 2 guard in a 1's body, Hinrich can cover both guard spots defensively and Wall should be able to cover both 1s and 2s. I think this gives them a pretty potent 3 guard lineup actually.

These teams are dumping quality players in the hopes of signing stars! Big gamble.

Read yesterday that Miami was willing to just dump Beasley for cap space! They were talking about building the future of this team around DWade and him. Nutz!

There are rumors of Arenas to Orlando.

True, but I don't know how keen Arenas will be on playing two-guard. He's only 6'3 and while he's heavier than your average 6'3 guy in the NBA (not fat, mind you, but not all.. muscle really either) I don't know how he'll feel guarding bigger guys than him especially with a pair of bum knees.

Fuck this. If CHI can land LBJ and Bosh to add to a core of Rose and Noah, we're not gonna get a title this decade.

I don't think the Wiz much care what Gil likes anymore, especially after they take Wall. He's about to become very expendable and I have no doubt they'll make every effort to move his ass -- and if they can't trade him don't be surprised if they agree to some kind of buyout the same way that Portland did with Francis

Somewhere I read Arenas for Vince Carter was being discussed.

This is getting really interesting now. Miami has enough to sign 3 of Lebron, Bosh, Johnson, Amare, Wade

Chicago has enough to sign 2 of them. Wade, Bosh , Lebron, or Rose, Bosh , Lebron? Although Bosh will probably end up in LA

That's a great deal for CHI. I'm not sure why WAS did this.

They get a solid backup G, who can cover the 1 and 2, and a mid round pick for nothing. Great deal for them, IMO.

Hmmm ... well I'd say at least in the next 6-7 years, after that some of these guys will be pushing 32 and there are no guarantees that everyone can stay happy playing 2nd and 3rd fiddle to Lebron.

True, true. As long as he doesn't pull a gun on them.

It's not nothing. They still have to pay Kirk's ridiculous contract. Hinrich is incredibly mediocre and doesn't really help a lottery team that much.

Not only that, but they just enabled CHI potentially set up a dynasty for the next ten years.

Call me crazy

Bosh will probably end up in LA

I wonder. Even supposing Bynum would pass the physical, would Bosh (a) want to coexist with Pau Gasol, and (b) hitch his wagon to Kobe Bryant, who is just about to break down physically.

I don't think trading for Bosh would really improve the Lakers, unless Bynum really is permanently injury-prone, in which case we're back to him failing the physical.

Besides, according to J.A. Adande, the Lakers will be landing Chris Paul.

I read or heard somewhere that he gave the Raptors a list of teams, and they were one of his favorites.

Not crazy, but I think I like the Bull's chances a little better ... mostly because of durability questions surrounding 3 out of the 4 players on our roster in that scenario.

Even if they don't land LBJ or Bosh, they could still lure Johnson (who has already apparently shown interest in the Bulls) and Boozer.

A core of Rose/JJ/Deng/Boozer/Noah is fricking deadly.
